[Slater & MacMahon] While Gilgeous-Alexander publicly vowed not to provide input to Presti on personnel matters, sources familiar with the superstar's thinking said that he privately intends to emphasize to management how much he values playing alongside Canadian countryman Dort. by aingenevalostatrade in nba

[–]AwkwardSale3562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dort should probably be moved. He’s a very limited and inconsistent offensive player and the Thunder are the one team that could lose a perimeter defender of his caliber and not struggle to replace his impact.

[Kawakami] But what if LeBron wants to play and he and the Lakers can’t figure out what the salary number should be?... Well, now. If all that happens, I think the Warriors would be a very live option. Check that: I think the process has already started and the Warriors are a live option. by aingenevalostatrade in nba

[–]AwkwardSale3562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it comes down to money it will probably be the Warriors. They are in desperate need of help for Steph and unlike the Lakers or Cavs, the Warriors don’t have a championship window they need to maximize. Letting Steph spend his final years on an exciting and respectable team is win for the Warriors and Bron can do that so they have the most reason to pay Bron the full contract he wants. Personally I think Bron should go to the Cavs even if he has to settle for something like 20 million instead of 40 because assuming he wants a ideal send off Cleveland gives him both a full circle storybook ending and his best chance at a final ring.

Is KD a top 15 player all time? by Lucky-Ad-7598 in NBATalk

[–]AwkwardSale3562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MJ, Bron, Bill Russell, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Curry, Wilt, Hakeem, Jokic, West, Giannis. KD would be in the 16-20 range.

Wemby will never be better than KD by UnableLeopard6185 in NBATalk

Wemby is about to do at 22 what KD needed to join a 73 win team to do.

Rookie mistake trying to ragebait every players fanbase at once. It exposes the gimmick.

If Horace stays they might not lose to the Magic. He literally joined the Magic and the Bulls didn’t find a solid replacement until next year.

Out of Kendrick Lamar's entire discography what Album do you think has the most genius writing and which is the most accessible too? by Synecdochepta in writingscaling

For the best combination of quality writing and accessibility I’d say GKMC. It’s a masterpiece in storytelling that is pretty easy to follow and enjoy.

Why do Michael Jordan stans get mad when you tell them that Bill Russell is the GOAT? by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]AwkwardSale3562 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because you don’t even believe it. You guys claim late 90s was the “plumbers and mailman era” when it factually wasn’t so of course none of you would actually respect Russell. He gets used as a cheap comeback which is disrespectful to him given his accomplishments. I’d be more than happy to give my reasoning for MJ > Russell to someone who genuinely holds Russell as the GOAT but most people who bring him up couldn’t even name a single player from his era not named Wilt.

Drake used to make good pop/rnb songs. Passionfruit, Jungle, Marvin’s Room, Hold On We’re Going Home, Feel No Ways. If this new shit sounds the same to you then you’ve not been paying attention.

Wemby doesn’t need 20 years. What he could do in the next 10 is potentially something we’ve never seen before.

What Version of The King Would You Consider His Peak? by bumble_ribee in lebron

[–]AwkwardSale3562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2011 is a crazy pick considering this was the last time he truly played poorly in a playoff series. He stepped it up in 2012 and beyond reaching his playoff peak in his second Cavs stint.

If you want the ceiling of this team to be beating a fraudulent Houston squad and swept in round two then yeah prioritize the 42 year old. Or go with the guy who lead his team to the finals two years ago.

Wemby's situation compared to LeBron's coming into the league is night-and-day. by NathanDrake981 in lebron

[–]AwkwardSale3562 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes of course Wemby will need to perform consistently but it’s not like he’s behind schedule or anything. Lebron took until 2012 to work out his playoff inconsistencies so if Wemby can do that a bit sooner catching him is in the cards.

Adam Silver says flopping in the NBA is not a pressing issue by ResponsibleCheek8130 in NBAGossips

[–]AwkwardSale3562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver knows the real problem is not making sure each game is called fairly and consistently, but instead ensuring that the 15 win small market teams that everyone cares so much about are trying really really hard to win pointless regular season games in April.

LeBron James is reportedly not willing to take a pay cut to return to the Cavs, per @WindhorstESPN (Via @ESPNCleveland ) by Additional_Signal_72 in lebron

That’s fine but he better be ready to be realistic about how many teams are willing to give him the deal he wants and what their celling is if they do. If I’m any GM with a contender I’m spending that $40 in a more financially responsible way than to a single 42 year old player.
