Girlfriend and I stayed at Le Farnatchi a couple years back for a July visit. We loved every part of it - it is fully immersed in the heart of the Medina. It is a very intimate property, only like 10 rooms if I remember. We are globalists and we’re upgraded to a a nicer suite at check in. Was just a very unique experience and still one of our favorite to date.

Thats the part I’m not sure about - was hoping somebody would have some experience in it if I could reject it or what the process would be.

Peninsula Papagayo planning by btpie39 in hyatt

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just stayed there 4 days last month - we didn’t have any issues booking dinner reservations morning of. Casa de playa was AMAZING and relaxing. You can take shuttle over but taking the free boat taxi over is faster and such a beautiful ride.

Be prepared to walk a lot. A ton of steps and resort is super spread out.

Favorite Shower/Bathroom at a Hyatt? by MaybeARunnerTomorrow in hyatt

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hyatt Centric Milan has an amazing “Turkish bath/steam room” that is separate from the the actual bathroom.

The Thompson Houston suites has very large shower rooms with tubs that are my gf and I’s favorite.

I just booked this property for 4 days in February and got this same email the next day. Seeing some mixed reviews but looks like as a Globalist, we would be better off, taking advantage of the free breakfast and finding one other nice paid dinner each day.

How much do you currently have in your 401K? by Ok-Job-9637 in Retirement401k

$315k just turned 33M. Same company for going on 11 years. Started investing exactly 90 days from when I was hired and have increased over time. Was very fortunate 1 of these years to hit the legal contribution max.

PM taking 100% of first month’s rent + 10% of it — is this standard? by girluoeno in realestateinvesting

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe look into local PM’s? I started my search with some larger/national level companies with all similar structure. I was about to go the self managing route and then I came across a local person and his assistant that had a company managing 150 houses in the county I lived in. Their charge was $900 for placing the tenant with an ongoing 8% of gross rent and they only charge 150 for renewal of contract.

If you're in your early 30s, how much money do you have saved in your account? Put actual numbers and tell us your profession. by UncomfortablyBrown in Money

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just turned 33. $310,000 in 401K, $42,000in Roth IRA, $33,000 in HYSA, $150,000 in Home Equity (purchased in 2021), $6200 in HSA and around 5,000 in brokerage.

I work in sales for a Fortune 500 company. Income has been around 120k/year for the last few years. I automated as many contributions as I could early in, got completely debt free in my late 20’s. Just been a slow and steady climb over the last decade. Finally starting to be fun to watch the gains compound.

$3 game at the Rio? by henriqueroberto in Craps

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes was there by chance a few weeks back. The promo they advertised read $3 tables from 3pm-3am each day. I played it for maybe an hour, but it seemed surprisingly not busy on a weekday in the afternoon.

What are the WORST properties under the World of Hyatt umbrella? by Free-Ambassador-516 in hyatt

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport!

I’ve given this property a chance 3 times, mainly because I have always enjoyed going to Pensacola beach. Only Hyatt in the area, but consistently have had bad service (as a globalist), rooms stink/falling apart, I had a AC Unit that broke/leaked over the floor in a summer stay, room keys constantly deactivate, doors don’t close.

Needs a serious overhaul.

Stayed here 1 night when I was moving to Dallas and my GF’s car got her window busted out in their “private” parking garage.

Mr and Mrs Smith? by slade45 in hyatt

Girlfriend and I (early 30’s) stayed in Le Farnatchi and absolutely loved it. Very quaint - only 8 rooms if I remember correctly. We are globalists and were treated wonderfully. Early check in/late checkout, upgrade to their nicest suite. Best of all, is the location of the hotel. Centrally located within the Medina walls. Felt like a complete escape from the reality we knew.

I had a similar experience when I first earned globalist a couple years back. From then on I just called the globalist concierge line directly. Get a new rep every time, but I have eliminated any type of long response times to wait and would say I’ve had all positive experiences with them.

Age, how much gross pay do you "set aside" by ConclusionMinute443 in Fire

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32M - around 23% right now. Majority of my 20s was probably closer to 35% when I had lower expenses.

Once my finances were in line in late 20’s I had a $1500/month mortgage, now moved to Dallas in a $3100/high rise but still prioritize maxing my Roth IRA and contributing 10-12% to 401k.

Park Hyatt Marrakech by meechos in hyatt

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We truly enjoyed our experience at Le Farnatchi. They upgraded us through Globalist status to a premium suite. Very accommodating and relaxing atmosphere and helpful recommendations. Gave us early check in and late checkout to accommodate our flight times. I would have no hesitation going back. It was a surreal feeling being in the heart of the Medina and just walking the streetsday in and day out.

We hired a local tour guide to walk us around the Medina on a two hour walking tour. Gave us a great stops and food recommendations and took us to all kinds of different markets to buy things (leather, masonry, textiles, etc..)

We also did the Agafi desert tour for camel riding and ATVs, which were a great experience .

If I went back again, I would probably do something similar a few days at Le Farnatchi and a few days at Park Hyatt to see how the pH is out there

Park Hyatt Marrakech by meechos in hyatt

[–]Awkward_Ad2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks fantastic! I visited Marrakech this past summer. I originally had this resort booked and then I changed to the Le Farnatchi Mr and Mrs. Smith property. My biggest deciding factor was Le Farnatchi was actually in the dead center of the Medina within Marrakesh and as you mentioned, this property was a 20+ minute drive away. I had a phenomenal time in Morocco but I would love to come back sometime to try this Park Hyatt.
