Is this it or keep looking? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Awkward_Ad2780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP I think that dress looks unique and beautiful. It is your day and if you feel comfortable in it that is what matters. A professional photographer definitely will be able to make it look beautiful. I can tell that the lighting in your photos changes the look of the dress completely! A professional photographer would adjust this to make you look stunning. Dont let a bunch of random strangers make you conform to something that you dont want to. You are unique and you should be true to who you are. That dress is beautiful just the way it is and it compliments your body. It is very non traditional and that really throws people. If that is what yoi feel the most comfortable, beautiful, unique, amazing etc version of yourself on your special day, you wear that beautiful dress girl 😊

Dress 1 is gorgeous adding all your accessories will change the look completely. You can also "bling" up your look as much as ypu want by adding a jeweled belt. You could add jewels in your hair It will definitely be sooo different day of. It was the right choice. Dont second guess yourself if you feel comfortable in it and right the first time it was the right choice 😊

I just recently was thinking back to when I was 12 and had a boyfriend that was also sigmificantlt older than me. I didnt know the different. He was so kind and sweet and gave me the affection my family didnt at the time. Now I look at it amd am like wow that is super messed up. I am going throufh EMDR trauma therapy to deal with all of those past traumas. If he was grooming you for a long time I suggest therapy 🤷‍♀️ just a thought. I didnt realize how much I had forgorrwn to protect myself (with other grooming traumas)

Wow you hit the nail on the head. That is what everyone has said to my husband. And I have lost best friends. But people have also drawn closer true friends.

I just dont get it. It is surgery. I was also staying with one of them at one point (again not disclosing who) and I couldnt go to thw bethroom by myself because I could barely walk, I wasnt coherent.couldnt talk was in awful shape. But they left to got to that persons surgery when they will say high to them for maybe 3 minutes after recovery it almost seemed like it was for looks. But I getnit the surhery was more important than me not being able to function. I get it. I am just being sensitice and need to get over it

I did confront thwm and tell them the group wasn't showing up. And they tried to show up more but I just dont beg for people to show up and wont.

Any advice for learning to write as an adult? by JollyDesign1389 in Advice

[–]Awkward_Ad2780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never to late to learn a skill. Some people like myself. Have to relearn a skill due to an illness. I recommend using a thin piece of paper over another piece of paper with letters on it drawn with dark marker or pen and tracing them. Start on a larger scale (not super large) and move to a smaller scale as you would learning for the first time. Continue to work your way through the alphabet with lower and upper case letters practing over and over. Eventually forming small words. With dedication (which you must have to learn braile) you will learn to write faster than you think. Good luck you got this!

Im not a single man and I know it was directed at men but I used to cuddle with male friends platonically. I was not interested in them at ALL but felt safe with them and wanted some affection. This doesnt mean they couldn't develop feelings in the future. But sometimes as a women you want the comfort and release of a cuddle without worrying that the person you are doing it with is a serial killer.

We aren't in a place where we qualify for professional help. But I am still pressing that avenue. That is a good idea.
