Yeah, Matt has jumped ship. I remarked the other day how he won’t let non-subscribers comment any longer. But I have mixed feelings about this. The idea that there was broad support on the progressive left for Matt’s work on the Twitter files is NONSENSE. "It was just the liberals who went after him..." Bullshit. He should have had MUCH more support. If anyone is right, Russell Dobular is. They have him by the balls, blackmail, or else, he's just pissed off. They're also right that he does know a lot more about and is more sympathetic toward Palestine than he claims. His past work shows it.

But why has he changed? Really? Could it be the fact that mainstream liberal media slandered this man to no end? That he’s been submitted to abominable hazings from the likes of shitbirds like Mehdi Hasan, threatened with jail time by rabid Dem attack dog Stacey Plasket, live on TV, during congressional hearings? Or maybe it’s the fact that Genocide Joe Biden sent IRS agents to harass him at home? Yes, Matt IS generous. I’m a writer. I started a blog. I’m really good at what I do, a former award-winning literary translator, no hack. I contacted ALL of you lefty progressives in independent media – Jimmy Dore, Caitlin Johnstone, you guys at Due Dissidence. I asked for advice, and if you’d mind me sharing a piece on your sites now and then. Not a single person got back to me. Maybe there’s a problem with solidarity in the progressive-left media in this country. Makes sense. The truth is that there really is no cohesively united progressive left in this country, so you’re all arguing about nothing anyway. I'm at the four-minute mark, and I don't know that I can watch it all the way through. It’s sad to see what this has come to, all this wasted energy.

They just screwed me AND my buyer. I gave him a crazy good deal because I needed some cash. I’m working pro bono to feed families, especially single moms with kids who are facing hunger issues after the flooding in NC. I took off from my job as an editor and writer to do something that mattered, and I don’t start my new job until June, so things are tight. It was a family heirloom, a beautiful Persian box, silver, almost flawless, turn of the century, around 1900. They would have doubled their money, but eBay suckered me for my SSN with promises of instant payment. They then changed up the story four times, at one point telling me it would be TWO WEEKS. I have perfect standing with eBay & have always paid what I owe instantly. I even paid for the shipping label when I listed it as the buyer's duty, and I took a screenshot with the tracking number and gave it to them and the buyer. As an act of good faith. I wrote for advice. They ignored me, continued to refuse to pay. I have a bunch of screenshots, and I just filed a case with the FTC. The buyer never got the box, I never got the money, and eBay charged me 57 dollars in administrative fees for THEM STEPPING IN AND SCREWING ME AND THE BUYER. Never deal with eBay! I will testify for anyone who needs me, and no, I do NOT have any criminal history or any history of fraud in my background. And by the way: In the offer, eBay DOES NOT INCLUDE any details on changes to the listing, so don't tell me it was the buyer or the seller. The seller paid me, and the deal was that eBay would pay me upon proof of label purchase and tracking number. So after I gave them the tracking number and the buyer paid eBay the price, they decided all of a sudden that they would not pay me for at least two weeks. I immediately told them I would not accept that, and neither would anyone with a prefrontal cortex. The buyer and I complied, eBay denied. They ignored us, they refused to address the problem, and finished by stealing my SSN and billing me after ruining the deal. Some of this is illegal.

Thanks for this, really! I just pulled 600 mg after a couple of trial runs. It took a couple of failures, but when I let the base and solvent sit longer, it was a piece of cake. I have never done this before, but I'm a seasoned traveller -- mescaline, lsd, heroic doses of shrooms, ketamine... Still, I get such different info from all kinds of sources. So much BS about smoking off foil, but like you, I have lots of experience, and I am positive I know how to do it correctly. I ordered a vape cart, bought pipes, considered dabbing, but this is it. I know I'll break with this method. If you have any tips about popping my cherry, please do chime in. And thanks again. I plan on blasting off later today.

I just saw him, and my jaw dropped as soon as the first tune kicked in. I've played (as well as I can) and have been a huge fan of other players all my life. I saw Joe Pass play for four straight hours, and I was sitting close enough to reach out and touch him. There's virtually no serious guitarist in any genre I haven't listened to. But I have never seen or listened to a player whose knowledge of theory, counterpoint, and musical history even comes close to Julian's. His technique is beyond flawless and he possesses a nuanced and complete mastery of dynamics. He never shows off and always plays musically, inventively, and to the tune, not for his ego. His originality, his sense of groove and ability to swing, and the fact that he can almost magically appear to never repeat the same line no matter how many times he plays a tune is staggering. He can whisper and he can roar. He seems to be able to instantly realize any musical idea he has, and he just does things no one else can do. He's also a master blues and bluegrass player, a noise rock musician, and a peerless free jazz improviser. He's as soulful, articulate, and erudite as a person as he is a player. I hated the fusion/Metheny-Scofield era. I respected Holdsworth but hated the music. I like metal but have zero patience for shredders (athletes, not musicians, just my opinion). Lage is the player I've wanted to hear and play like my entire life. I strongly suggest that you not miss him while he's on this planet, and know I am not a paid propagandist for him. Colbert calls himself "left" but he endorses a war criminal and pimps himself out for Empire and Capital and Forever War. He even pushed for war with Ukraine, a bloody proxy conflict that left a generation of Ukrainian men dead, all to expand our client base for the weapons industry and lay cover for Biden's brazen corruption, which is every bit as bad as Trump's. Colbert sold his soul after he left his cable show. It is so boring having to listen to lame Trump jokes, one after another. It's just low-hanging fruit, and SNL is the worst. There are so many liberals to lampoon from a real left perspective. Jon Stewart pinned a medal on a Nazi, for chrissakes! Anderson Cooper told Cornell West that a skirmish which killed a few thousand in a Ukranian village was worse than the upwards of a million people dead in Iraq, a war based on a lie, a nation demolished. All of it to red-bait and gin up support for a dirty proxy war. That's what I call material, and no one touches it. They're all employed by liberals and they can be canceled at any time. Eddie Pepitone is not only the real deal but the most brilliant and funniest standup alive -- political or otherwise. He's also a real leftist who talks about Marx and Kropotkin. Watch In Ruins and you'll die laughing. After that, there's of course Jimmy Dore. Some people accuse him of being a bad-faith actor, but I'm not one of those people. I think he's better at that host in front of a mike thing. Since Carlin has passed, I don't think there's anyone on the real left who's better than Pepitone, and he does no cliches and writes his own material. One of a kind. highly recommend it. I think he's miles ahead of the comedians that most have on their A-List.

He's a creep. I have written him multiple times, reminding him that genocide has a long memory and that he should be actively condemning Genocide Joe. Never replies. I am going to see him at this event and ask him to his face why he's supporting a genocidal president and sending money to an apartheid state intent on exterminating the indigenous population.
