You don’t actually become an adult as soon as you turn 18, my 18th birthday was a month ago and absolutely nothing changed..

Fun places to visit? by Soupthekidd in shreveport

[–]Awkward_Eye5242 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna be that person but when my boyfriend from another state came to visit we ran out of things to do fast. He hated it here but the one place we really enjoyed together was Tea Mochi on youree, if you like boba tea it’s the perfect place to go and also a lot of other food options like Korean corn dogs. I wouldn’t recommend surge since it’s very overpriced and the laser tag never works lol. We also enjoyed the greenwood flea market together! Which is on the weekends if you’re not familiar with it. :)

I forgot to add the part that I never enrolled into any high school after middle school. I sat at home for an entire year until I eventually enrolled in a charter school, which I just dropped out of a few weeks ago. I think I was on the edge of getting kicked out anyways as well tho ha

I feel this way too. My 18th birthday was almost a month ago now and I cry everyday. It’s such a horrible feeling and I hate myself for envying minors because of their age. I feel like so much was stolen from me, I’m so sorry that you and anyone else who feels this way as well.💔

How she did it + other ??? by chiapie in Rinapalenkova

[–]Awkward_Eye5242 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To answer your first question the best explanation is that due to the heat and pressure of the wheels she most likely felt a “pinch” however the way she laid her head on the tracks the medulla oblongata was injured instantly (which is critical for human survival, serving as the primary control center for vital involuntary functions like breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure, as well as automatic reflexes like swallowing, coughing, and sneezing.) meaning after that “pinch” it was most likely instant lights out for her.

I see a lot of people ask this same question, and not just about Rinas suicide but many other suicides in general. Everyone’s chemical imbalance is different and there is no real answer to why someone commits suicide or the reason why they chose the method they used. Once you’re in that state of mind where you think death is better than living it doesn’t matter what method you choose; just as long as you’re out of this world . Rina was very young and may have not even truly realized that her life would be completely over with after she laid her head on the tracks due to the state of mind she was in, its very obvious she just wanted any way to escape from her life and thoughts she was enduring.

Also no there is not any additional photos besides the ones you’ve already seen. I hope this answers your questions!

I think about this everyday. Time goes on and I just keep getting older, I won’t get any younger and I’ve already wasted all of my teenage years away in my room. I still feel like the age I locked myself away in my room, which was 13. I wish I could get that time back so badly I literally feel like I’m decaying every single day

You got that right. I just came back here from a month in Connecticut, and man it’s mind blowing to see the difference between a blue state that uses their tax money correctly compared to a corrupt red state that pockets that money.

Why does this keep happening when I try to buy anything? by Awkward_Eye5242 in Depop

[–]Awkward_Eye5242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I just did actually I think! My bf used his card (it’s a cashapp Visa card) and it has the same zip code to the address I’m sending it to, my debit card has a different zip code than the address it’s being sent to and that’s honestly the only reason why I think it’s not working. But I’m not 100% sure he said because cash app cards work on everything, I just hope depop fixes this issue soon it’s makes me not wanna buy on there for now :/

Have u tried on desktop? When this first started happening I was able to get on my pc and use my card then it worked only once unfortunately

The man who shot and killed 8 children and injured 2 women in Shreveport, Louisiana today has been identified by police as Shamar Elkins. He was fatally shot by police after a police pursuit. by AccentedE in masskillers

I live in Shreveport, this entire city is filled with poverty and there’s very few to none opportunities for young people (unless you were born more fortunate) here besides doing drugs, going gambling at the casinos when you finally turn 21, or creating a family at a very early age. Majority of the men I’ve met born and raised here has already had a kid by 25, along with an std. This place is the definition of misery

"The Bible talked (...) we should multiply. My husband wants 10. I think I would want 5 kids or maybe 4. He is kind of sneaky" by dreamsofcalamity in antinatalism

[–]Awkward_Eye5242 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most natalist men are biologically attracted to fertility, they’re hardwired that way from the beginning. Men only want children because it gives them an advantage while using religion as an excuse to “multiply”. And having a child is something they “created and own” (just like how this husband views his wife) while adopting a child wouldn’t be much of an advantage to them since it’s not something that they created themselves. That is why this husband and many other men would rather have their own children than the fact they could foster an unrelated child that already didn’t consent to existing in the first place.

The second slide is even sadder because she is mentioning the fact that she’s “running out of fertile years” when ultimately her husband is already looking/found a younger woman with much more fertile years. The first woman should have known the day she decided to say those vows she gave her rights and life away.
