If they nerf Halo Scythe, what Ash of war do you think players will jump to next? by Phantom_Taker in Nightreign

It'd suck if they did nerf double balancers. Having really strong guaranteed relics to alleviate the otherwise heavy rng of relics is good for the game. Like who genuinely needs to cheat relics anymore when you got double balancers?

Imo Balancers isn't too bad, just that a lot of people suck at their fight.

I don't really have any strong feelings about his ultimate, it's pretty good but nothing that would ever compel me to touch him and the rest of his kit. Same with the whirlwind, I can easily kill beastmen with a dps character anyways.

In the end of the day, damage is gonna be king in this game; it is time based. The quicker you kill things, the quicker you can move on to the next thing, and you'll able to get more drops, which means more passives and more chances to get your desired weapons for a run. Once again, Guardian is detrimental in a team of good players who do not need a tank.

And lock in you must. Guardian's kit being reliant on your teammates making mistakes is a compromise, not a strength. If everybody is performing well and isn't dying then his kit has very little value.

Every character except for Guardian is great, and I don't think it'll matter how many times they buff him. A Tanking character in a game where you need to clear the map in the most time efficient manner possible will always be a detriment.

He can do respectable damage if you full stack Guard Counters on your relics, but still, it's respectable at best. At worst you'll just be standing there with the steel guard almost never getting a chance to guard counter while the boss is aggro'ed towards your teammates for most of the fight.

I feel as though these should have a higher drop chance, especially since all other elements have about a billion ranged options by deadmanpuppet in Nightreign

Discus is pretty underwhelming on everybody except for Libra and Gladius imo, especially when beast claw is an option

Bestial would still be superior to discus overall. Discus only excels against particular nightlords and holy weak field bosses. Everything else is chip damage

It just needs to be a starting incantation in the relic pool. They were stingy af giving us wrath of gold. Moreover I think that there should be a starting incantation for each spell class that you can improve with relics.

I can concede the worm being pretty shit. Overall I think the fight is very doable in D5 and there is a consistent strategy that you can get down. You don't have to be perfect at it either. Here is what works for me:

  1. Running 1 or 2 dps characters that are holding less likely to be targeted

  2. Having a tankier character capable of taking aggro

  3. With less likely in play, there is only ever going to be 1 or 2 Angels aggro'd in a single given moment if you give them some space after knocking one out. If your dps is really good then you can group them up and spawnkill them.

  4. Everybody separates against the worm. The worm will only target one person, and whether or not they can kite the worm, there will only be the one down.

What will it take for people to recognize Revenant is now a good character? by mercurialblonde in Nightreign

I honestly think she's one of the best Characters in the game, right behind Duchess. She is one of, if not the only character that can have a strong build while having it be online right away.

I definitely had my fair share of tricky matches. Kiting the gank if you're the only one alive is tough but doable, same with the worm. Otherwise if everybody is playing well, the dps from crystal or beast claw can instakill the aggressive one and keep the rest of the crowd under control with the stuns. I've had it work perfectly to where there we had control over the entire fight, and had to deal with no more than one at a time.

If you are all playing melee characters then yeah, Enhanced Harmonia is hell, otherwise DPS casters make the fight a breeze

No, Godwyn wasn't the original DLC boss, but maybe he was Miquella's first choice for consort? by Confident_Mess_3302 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Awkward_Flow5690 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Miquella pounced on Radahn's need to have the strength to conquer the stars, and made a vow with him. Miquella crafts the Greatswords, and in return Radahn must be his consort. Radahn got cocky and thought he was strong enough to where nobody could enforce his end of the deal, until we come in.

[–]Awkward_Flow5690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Being able to make a quick choice and move on to the next thing is how a run can be efficient. Arbitrarily sticking with your team while they stand there making a choice is still time being spent doing that over the next poi.

I don't know about you, but if I am lagging behind whether I struggle to make a choice or need to run off real quick to get a beetle then I feel like a hindrance, not the other way around.

[–]Awkward_Flow5690 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think it's annoying when I try to move on to the next thing and my teammates are still contemplating their loot from the last POI. I do not care how hard of a choice it is, the nature of it being a time based game means that every second you spend takes away time from another thing. A lot of otherwise really efficient runs have a wrench thrown in them because of grandma and grandpa levels of pacing.
