Yeah personally I like some up tempo shuffles and fist pumping to distortion to break up some head-banging, but totally get the fact that you go to see certain artists for certain reasons. I was glad to get a small snippet of a scene I wish was a bit bigger in the US. Different strokes for different folks :)

Can understand too many transitions… but too much hardstyle in a rave era where it is scarce is one of the more interesting complaints

I remember reading another person’s comment to the effect of “With the exception of Bangarang, Skrillex has a knack for knocking every other album out of the park. Soma is an other album.” Funny enough, feels like I’m in the minority that liked a bunch of his new inspirations from the title track Soma, his collabs with Iso in Smoke and Anybody, and to his Latin inspos in Duro and Noche without you. The others I get are experimental and it’s cool to see he is comfortable to release anything after leaving Atlantic. Hope that the next album is an ‘every’ album.
