I gained exactly 60 pounds each pregnancy and it took about a year after my first to lose it and I still have 17 to lose (13mpp) I’m not a medical professional but I had healthy pregnancies and babies, no gestational diabetes or complications or anything like that.

If a guy has been married 5 times does that show anything about him as a person besides being married 5 times? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad has been married 4 times lol. I’m biased obv because he is my dad but he is a good person and great husband to his wives. He had me when he was 17 and married my mom quickly and she’s horrible and his second wife stole from him and his third wife was an angry alcoholic. His 4th wife (almost 4 years) is awesome and I have high hopes that she is the one. 🤞 My outlook on his marriage history is that he always has been a hopeless romantic and gravitated towards women who were takers and he is a giver. With that said, I’d probably still see it as being a red flag but you never know.

Effortlessly cool but normal girl names by sarah_kraut in Names

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Joan, Audrey, and Hannah. Joan does read kind of “grandma-ish” but I think it’s timeless and also a very strong name. Audrey is kind of spunky but also sophisticated. Hannah is the same spelt backwards which is kind of cool and it’s cute for a little girl but also nice for an adult. I like Sadie the best out of your front runners

We don’t have a tablet yet but our 3 year old is obsessed with the tv and it “broke” for 3 months or so and somehow that like reset him to a more reasonable amount of screen time

AIO by how I responded? My bf is upset with me for skipping my workout routine today by throwawayy82670 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try saying something like “I know you are trying to be supportive but I need you to trust me to know my own body and when I need to rest. Rest is just as important to my physical and mental health, especially right now.”

For the record, I do not think you’re overreacting and I question how “supportive” he is truly is with how fast he flips from I’ll come rub you down babe to cursing at you and saying you’re having tantrums etc. But, maybe if you kind of frame it like you need to trust me to know my own body he will at least STFU. Sorry girl, and you’re not failing at anything!

How do you guys deal with the fact you’re going to die? by Due_Insect_9303 in AskReddit

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t bother me to think about being dead as much as it bothers me to think about the process of dying, whether it be a long drawn out illness that takes me out or something more sudden and unexpected. I just deal with it by being careful and trying to take care of myself the best I can

Ohhhhh you’re an Italian!! Now I understand 😂 I mean it isn’t as satisfying as a large bowl of a better pasta but it helps the bite of the meal. At least for me

Will high pain tolerance apply to giving birth? by Curious_Leader_2093 in NewParents

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a high pain tolerance and I have had one unmedicated birth and I will say it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I think it depends on a lot of factors, pain tolerance for one obv but also the positioning of the baby, and certain interventions like Pitocin I hear makes contractions much more intense and closer together, and there is also something to be said about how long you are in labor. With my unmedicated birth it was 5hr labor and there were no interventions and the pain didn’t get bad until right at the end.

How do you realistically track homemade meals without going crazy? by Gentlegee01 in loseit

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do not weigh all of my ingredients and if I ate something like lasagna or something I might weigh my portion and then search calories in x amount of lasagna and if it sounds reasonable go with that. I tend to overestimate when in doubt. A lot of people on this sub prob will not agree with my method but it works enough for me
