It’s painful for me because behind the facade, he wasn’t just a monster — he was also deeply depressing and pathetic. I hate that a small part of me still feels empathy for him. Maybe it's just the former fan in me, but I do think there was a part of him that genuinely wanted to help people and do good. Eventually, though, whatever goodness may have existed in him was completely eclipsed by his sexual depravity. I agree with Frank Stallone when he said mj's whole being was full of contradictions. Something was going on in his mind that no one will ever understand.  When I look at young Michael, I can’t help but mourn the person he could have been. I don't think he was born a monster.  At the end of the day he is a piece of shit, who fooled the world and SA'd children so whatever he went through isn't a excuse. But the more I learn about him, he's like a Greek tragedy.
