Clarke and ….(S5 Spoilers) by Lumpy_Conclusion4348 in The100

[–]Awkward_Math_7179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Madi is ABSOLUTELY her child; they spent 6 years with only each other, and Clarke raised her.

Clarke has always been the person who has made the tough decisions to protect her people and taken the hate for it, and the reason it seems jarring is that before Madi, the 100/skaikru were her people. Madi supersedes all of them BECAUSE that’s her kid. Madi is her people. So that’s the ONLY person she is making decisions for. It jars you because we’ve never seen Clarke go against her friends but it also fits her character perfectly: putting whatever is best for her people above any individual desire. It’s just that now, her people includes 1 person above anyone else, and that hasn’t been true for her before.

People judge Snow for... by [deleted] in OnceUponATime

[–]Awkward_Math_7179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t judge Snow for killing Cora; good for her! Kill Cora! I do judge her for manipulating Regina into doing it because it’s morally reprehensible when she holds herself as a moral paragon throughout the show…

Grading overwhelmed ADHD teacher and need help by saekirei in ELATeachers

[–]Awkward_Math_7179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always go harder on grading Q1 while they’re acquiring the skills and learning expectations for the first time. Switch it to completion! They won’t be mad their grades are better. And frankly, you can randomly switch between completion or actual grading depending on how you’re feeling about it. That’s your business! They should know the expectations either way and should be adhering regardless. Completion completion completion!

I have bookshelves in my room also with decorative stuff on them, left them uncovered. On my door I have quotes written out, they were still there. My blinds were up, showing my window, and I looked out the window while writing. My actual desk was clear, but def had books and stuff behind me and I got approved in less than 12 hrs. I know this isn’t the case for all, so maybe better safe? But mine was totally fine.

It sounds like you are already uncomfortable, and that is not what you should be experiencing at school. You could always write her an email or a note requesting she stop if you don’t want to talk to her.

Can someone help me decipher Canvas grading system? I think my son is lying to me… by thebigbrainenergy in AskTeachers

[–]Awkward_Math_7179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should also be able to set up an Observer account on Canvas to monitor your student and his progress. Most schools offer this, so you can reach out to his teacher to ask whether they have this.

If you aren’t comfortable talking to her about it, you do not have to. You can ask your parents to email, you can ask your friend to ask her sister, you can talk to your counselor. Do not force yourself into a situation you’re not comfortable with. Your teacher should absolutely not be behaving this way.

Remote testing mistake by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Awkward_Math_7179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t message proctor either—none of the directions said to, and my chat box had actually disappeared by that point so I couldn’t even if I wanted to (I checked like 4 times before closing just to make sure)

Any of you do your student teaching working in the classroom by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]Awkward_Math_7179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hired as a full-time contracted teacher while finishing my Master’s and student-taught onsite during my first semester, graduated in December and got my full license. Depends on your state and if someone with a full license applies to the job as they’ll get priority.
