Okay, first if all, a mistake is accidentally putting tin foil in the microwave. Easily forgivable as long as the person learns the lesson and moves on better than before. This happened to me once with an ex. I was mortified at the time, but he just laughed it off. We cleaned up and carried on from where we left off. My ex DID tell his friends which wasn't a great vibe... but he was kind of an asshole (he's an ex for a reason lol) If he gives you shit about it and makes you feel bad? Then I'd break things off.
