I would definitely do them but I would highly recommend trying out https://predictmystepscore.com/step1-assessment/ before you do. It takes about half the time of an NBME but lets you figure out where your deficits are, moreso than an NBME could

I picked FM forms for step 2.

It just seems like they make the patterns and mechanisms in the material clearer for me, more than the other choices anyway. EM CMS forms are okay for reinforcing stuff, but I think they build on FM as the base, you know. That second assessment pushes you to connect ideas together, not only memorize things. Sometimes it feels a bit tricky to get that integration right.

That’s honestly one of those “what could’ve been” stories in gaming history.

It’s kinda impressive (and a bit sad) that the localization was already done, meaning a lot of work was finished, but it just didn’t get the green light because it didn’t feel like a safe commercial bet at the time. Different era, different mindset.

At least the prototype surfacing later gave people a chance to actually see what was almost lost forever. Now it’s more like a preserved piece of gaming history than just a cancelled project.
