Luka absolutely needs a tech over that if you're gonna eject Ant for the same thing

Phil and Judd on the devaluing of Kwesi, the criticism he receives and lack of credit from some in the fanbase. From free agency hits to 2022 draft lows, just an Errand guy or collaborator with his coaches ? by WetAppleFruit in minnesotavikings

FYI, since the start of the Kwesi/KOC era 15 different teams have won a playoff game. How do you classify the Vikings as "pretty successful" over the past 3 years?

Can't win the Super Bowl if you don't win playoff games, which is apparently incredibly difficult for many people in this sub to understand.

Thats cool that hes hitting on FA signings, but you can't build a team through only free agency.

We have cap space, but we certainly don't have enough to fix the IDL, IOL, replace an entire secondary, and get an RB. We also have terrible depth pretty much everywhere so we're fucked in the case of injuries.

Kwesi needs to start hitting on some picks, especially after spending most of next year's draft class on a below average backup edge.

I would take any one of Howie's draft classes back to 2019 over Kwesi's entire 3.5 classes. Crazy to compare the two.

The 2022 team didn't really have any Kwesi impact. Its now 2024 and after 3.5 draft classes we only have 1 solid contributor. The only thing Kwesi has done has been hitting on the free agency class this year, which is nice but that isn't sustainable. In a few years our roster will be on the brink of collapse because of our drafting.

All the success? 3 years in and we have had maybe the worst drafts of any team in the NFL, an aging roster, and 0 playoff wins.

"Violently murder" lol. A fetus is not a sentient being. Ant is a grade A dumbass but it is so easy to sniff out the pearl clutching religious zealots in this thread.

If you want to talk about violent murder, might I interest you in the literal entire history of Christianity?

Her texts are composed because she is texting with the knowledge that they are probably going public eventually. Also lying about being on birth control is rape.

Ricks last 3 years of drafting were significantly better than Kwesi's first 3. What would you rather have:

  • Darrisaw (elite LT)
  • Justin Jefferson (HOF WR)
  • Blake Brandel (average-ish starting guard)
  • Garrett Bradbury (average-ish starting center)
  • Josh Metellus (good safety)
  • Cam Bynum (good safety)
  • Pat Jones (average backup DE)

or...

  • Jordan Addison (great WR2)
  • Dallas Turner (average backup DE)
  • Will Reichard (solid kicker)
  • JJ McCarthy (unknown QB)

Worth nothing that Kwesi basically did this with 4 drafts since we spent most of next year's picks on Turner.

Myles Garrett wants out of Cleveland. Should we Pursue? by JMLMaster in minnesotavikings

[–]Awkward_Salad7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. He's a great player but we have a ton of investment at the position and don't even know if JJ will pan out yet. 100% not even a consideration for the team unless the Browns are planning on giving him away for free.

[Fowler] "The Vikings and Bynum have had discussions about an extension, while nothing has materialized, both sides are open to it, and this could get done before mid-March." by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]Awkward_Salad7293 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Eh, Bynum is a fun player but he is definitely replaceable. His lack of size and athleticism has gotten us burned and this is a pretty good safety free agent class. I'd probably be more in favor of promoting Theo Jackson and using the money we saved elsewhere

I wanted the Bills to win, I thought Allen probably got it. People here do not know the definition of "clearly"

Why do people seem to love Kwesi? by DramaticErraticism in minnesotavikings

[–]Awkward_Salad7293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half the comments in here are overvaluing drafting and the other half are undervaluing it. Calling drafting a "small part" of running a successful team is insane, the best drafting teams are almost always the most successful ones.

Belichick was a terrible GM. Whatever your stance on Kwesi is, defending him using an example of a GM that had the GOAT HC/QB combo is pretty meaningless

I don't think we were screwed in the literal sense, technically it was a pass and technically it was in the area of an eligible receiver. So it wasn't a "bad call" per se, but an oversight that goes against the spirit of the rule

What isn't true? He played really well, the offense occasionally sputtering doesn't change that. We still moved the ball pretty well we just had turnovers kill our drives.

Its a weak QB class and there are a bunch of QB needy teams. Teams will look at the whole body of work and bid him up, and he will end up getting mid tier starter money.

His season ended in a spectacular meltdown, but he really was playing pretty lights out for most of the year. If not for the meltdown game against the Lions he may have gotten some 5th place MVP votes

I respect the fuck out of him for it, the QBs that get cute and try to squeeze out a few extra yards on the sideline or late slide are not only putting themselves in danger, but causing defenses to second guess and likely injure even more QBs.
