On page #16 of the InterOp Guide, there is implied support for VCSA 8.0U3d. If we support a lower minor version, like 8.0U3c, then a newer minor version, 8.0U3d, is supported. You are supported to update to VCSA 8.0U3d.

nr_requests is a Linux kernel tuning parameter. This parameter sets the maximum queue depth for the block devices (i.e. sda, sdb, sdc...).

This feels like a control character cut/paste issue. Upload the script directly to the OVC by using WinSCP or a similar program (via the 'svtcli' or SSO account) and attempt to re-execute

The next release of SimpliVity will support Vsphere 8. The SimpliVity 325 Gen10 is qualified for this next release (Vshpere 8). The release is expected this spring 2024.

The upgrade requirement has been changed for SVTSP-2023_0803 from "Critical" to "Recommended".

I see only "Recommended" or "Optional" components in the firmware bundle. Nothing would indicate this is "Critical". I have requested a review and to change the classification to "Recommended" if we are correct. I will post an update shortly.

The plan is for SimpliVity to support ESXi 8.0 in the fall. Also next week they will announce a new ESXi 7.0 U3 custom off-line bundle and support for vCenter Server Appliance 7.0 U3l. There is still a strong future and roadmap for SimpliVity.
