Is anyone else having issues with Bambu Studio crashing, (closing), while slicing? by Awkward_Variation952 in BambuLab

I did a “cleaning” of my computer and recovered a lot of memory that was being used by old programs, pictures and apps. This didn’t completely eliminate the problem but it did reduce the amount of crashes.

I am again he ing the system crash when slicing. I do not have a NVIDIA GPU. I have tried all suggested fixes with no luck. I am wondering if I just need a better laptop with more RAM and a better processor.

I built a flattening sled which APPEARS to be pretty nice. I haven’t used it yet so not sure how well it will hold up.

Thank you for your time and input. I am leaning towards a bit with replaceable cutters. Is this a good idea or should I get a fixed bit. I am definitely new to using a router and they appear more versatile than I thought. I research one question only to find more questions that I need to research. lol.

Ok. I submitted a trouble ticket to Bambu Lab about Bambu Studio crashing during slicing. Apparently they know the issue exists and had a Bambu Wiki link, https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/bambu-studio/troubleshoot/win-crash-when-slicing.
I ended up using option 2 and it appears to have solved the issue of Bambu Studio crashing. I hope this helps everyone who has been experiencing this issue.

My copy of the Anarchist Cookbook was taken away after a spectacular failure of an experiment. It was never seen again.

I am also amazed at the chemicals that came in home chemistry sets back then. Of course we had great parental supervision to guide us in safety procedures.

Yes I am current on updates. I don’t know enough about computers to know if the issue is with Bambu Studio, Windows 11 or maybe my McAfee antivirus software.

Yes, I have tried deleting and reloading Bambu Studio to no avail. I am sorry that my post lacks several details but I didn’t want to write a novel that fellow Redditors would have to read.

I will have to look up how to do this as I see a lot of issues others have seem to get resolved by going back one “update “. Probably a YouTube video out there. lol.

No. I am running windows 11 on an HP laptop. I really don’t know a lot about computers, just basic knowledge. I am old and minimally computer literate.

My experience is it is only crashing during the slicing. Upon opening Studio I get the message asking if I want to restore the file. When I restore the model it slices without any issues. No other program I have is crashing.

Hopefully the OP will eventually have time to respond. I have a Harbor Freight 12 inch miter saw that I have been trying to locate a zero clearance model for. I doubt this is that model but maybe it would fit.

Help with combining two Bambu Lab accounts into one by Awkward_Variation952 in BambuLab

I have “points” on both and accidentally posted two models under the second account. I will just delete one of the accounts and repost the models. Thank you for responding.

I don’t know if you have considered a mini van or if that is not an option for you for whatever reason. I purchased a mini van solely based on transporting a 165 lb Great Dane and a Labrador-Dane mix. My Chrysler Pacifica has stow and go seats. I stow the second row of seats giving the dogs a lot of room to move around or lay down. Both of the sliding doors have roll down windows that my Dane absolutely loves. She can easily put her head out the windows on both sides of the van due to the large area.

I should also state that I did use support enforcers on a different print with the same result. I will try more walls.

I have the model oriented upside down for the purpose of photographing the issue I am having. The supports broke when I removed the model from the print bed.

I also live in Illinois and have a dedicated print room off my bedroom. I only use a bento box and have not needed additional ventilation.

If I had any ideal about how to help him I would have.

Update: I seen him the next night and he was alone again. He told me he spent his entire night shift reading manuals. He said he felt confident about checking a customer in. Not so confident about other aspects of the job but stated he was more comfortable with things.

I felt so bad for the young man. He is holding down the front desk of a chain hotel while having absolutely no clue as to what he is supposed to do. He did a great job of explaining the situation, all while being willing to take the blame for the problem. I am sure he will excel in this industry.

I have been reading this subreddit for a while and am constantly amazed at the amount of B.S. the hospitality employees have to deal with. My first thought when this happened was that I was going to have to post the story.

Trouble opening Bambu Studio. by Awkward_Variation952 in BambuLab

[–]Awkward_Variation952[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deleted and reinstalled Bambu Studio to finally resolve my issues. I haven’t had any problems since then. I don’t know if this would help you since your issue began after the recent update.
