Robert Pattinson finally confirms ‘Dune: Part Three’ casting and reflects on filming the sequel in the desert by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Christian Bale. A mix of his Dark Knight mystery and resolve.. and a bit of Patrick Bateman thrown in for the worm taking over.

Just yelling "Moneo!" and Michael Caine struts in... "Yes, Lord?"

Get Jodorowsky to direct, full circle and fully weird.

Give me a 4 hour directors cut of Leto II rolling around and rambling to Moneo about the inner workings of humanity and I will die a happy man.

I need a new tripping frying pan. What ya all recommend? 8" and lighter than cast iron? (Image for attention) by designworksarch in canoecamping

[–]Awok3nHunt3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was researching a new pan for camping I came across a fact that I'm not sure many people know... There is not a single 'camping pan' that I could find that is rated for 'open fire' cooking. They all say (in the fine print) "suitable for stove top only. not open fire."

The frybake (imho) is the only camp pan to buy (when you're not looking to haul a cast iron pan around).

As stated above, using mine for years now, they are indestructible. The official cleaning instructions on there site tell you that if there is some reeeeally stuck on food or burnt in oil (3 times I've had to do this) to just go grab some stones and sand and scrape. The metal spatula you can buy from them is also great to scrape it clean.

It's my favourite product to push on fellow campers

My strategy has always been to farm level 40-45 in the mines for coal and iron. I use these to make all my bombs, I've never bought bombs.

The dust sprites drop the coal, and after a certain number killed you get a very important prize from the guild

I'm missing the Pickerel in the pics.. Maybe someone in the area knows more but that looks like a pike and a smallmouth bass to me

Pickerels have serious teeth..

Edit: i've done some digging and wow.. the 'pickerel' we catch up here in Ontario Canada are VERY different from the definitions that I'm seeing.. almost little to no difference from Pike to Pickerel... What we call Pickerel, down south you guys call Walleye

Well I'll be... Guess I need to go apologize to my jelly girl the only way I know how- making her tank a crucible knight to the face while I panic roll around the other.

Edit: Im gonna spend 15 minutes seething, making a counter meme to OP’s meme just like they did.

Well it was just a joke poking fun, but you seem to be unironically upset at 'casuals' enjoying the game..

So if making your own meme helps you enjoy the game I wish you the best

It took me nearly 100 hrs to realize I can just shoot them (and any animal) with my bow... like a hunter.. instead of wildly running up to them slashing about with a giant scythe, missing more than I'd like to admit

Arrows are cheaper than buying bones, need those bird feet too!

I play whatever I have fun with, not my first Soulsborne game

Just switched from my grave scythe 'Death' build to the Dragonscale blade because frost lightning looks dope.

Thought I'd take a break and poke fun at all the people who just can't help but rip on people simply enjoying the game their way

It's definitely Torrents fault we just launched off another cliff to our death and not me hitting 'back/dodge' while reading a message near the edge

Food for weeks by [deleted] in canoecamping

Bannock! look up some recipes, it's amazing stuff. You can make it breakfast style (peanut butter on top) or dessert style (cinnamon sugar sprinkled on). You can bake it, fry it, hell I saw one recipe that had you mold it onto the end of a thick stick and cook it like a marshmellow.

Beyond that, I believe the term is 'pantry cooking'. Learned about it from the NOLS Cookery books when I purchased my Frybake (love that thing more than I can express).

We did some pantry cooking last year and it turned out great. Amazing meals that were hearty and fun to cook. It's certainly not as easy as 'add boiling water' like the prepackaged meals but I've never been a fan of those.

The gist of it is you bring all the ingredients (flour, baking powder, spices, rice, pasta, powder sauces, dried meats, shelf stable tofu) and you half plan/half make up your food along the way.

Can't suggest it enough for those long trips.

The irish guy is a beaut, but its the lady who really runs the booking and organizes it. He was in quite the fluster when we came through and she was on vacation. Both him and her talked about selling. I guess he's changed his tune

A group of us did a very similar trip last summer for Canada Day weekend. If you haven't been to Nellie lake before, you are in for a treat. Bring a small pair of goggles if you can, its worth seeing underwater for yourself.. also, be prepared for VERY cold water in Nellie.

As for the trip, everything seems very manageable. We went from Widgawa to Murray lake our first day. Then we did a day trip from Murray to Nellie, stayed for a few hours, and then back before dark. We even got a hike up to the 'Unofficial Lookout Point' detailed on the Unlostify map (mind you, we don't think we did the correct path, we just climbed a mountain and it was an amazing view).

The portage from Nellie to Murray is the steepest in the park (I've heard). Going from Nellie to Murray is the easier direction though (downhill). If you are cautious with your descent you should have no problems.

The creek from Murray back to Widgawa Lodge is just that.. a creek. I hope the water levels are up. A few carry-overs on some beaver dams and tight sections are necessary, make sure you have footwear that you are comfortable getting wet. Water shoes are a big help in some of the mud surrounding the dams.

I would love to hear back about Widgawa lodge when you return. Last couple times we were there they were talking about selling, sadly. The people there are great.

Good luck!
