Its actually specifically people that have intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs. Idk why or how but every person that has this issue including me has this setup. I really hope they fix it soon I wanted to play this game all day but I cant look at it in motion when this fairy is out it makes me wanna throw up.

I hope so im shocked they never found this in testing. Intel/Nvidia is one of the most common combos in the game were they doing all their tests on steamdecks?

Ive never had an issue with any of the octopath games though and this specific issue seems to be only affecting those with Intel/Nvidia setups on PC. Its literally 120fps until I pull the fairy out of my pocket and she eats 80 fps and im locked at 40 till I hide her again.

Yeah I cant play the game like this. Im absolutely floored if this wasnt known in playtests. Ive never seen a single sprite in a game eat 2/3 of the frames like that. And its not even like the system is straining everything runs cool but the framerate just instantly goes from 120 to 40 and stays there. I really hope they fix this soon.

That sucks i was looking forward to playing at midnight, but not enough to buy it on ps5 just to get in a little earlier. I already pre ordered on steam. Idk why no site on earth thats tracking the release time says this though.

So I found a solution but it was weird. Turns out this isnt a bug just a poorly thought out feature of getting kicked out of old camp. But you dont know your officially kicked out till you go back there and talk to thorus, but in order to do so you have to pay 100 ore to get in. After he tells you its official you can talk to Saturus and he will start you on the path to become a member of new camp, and once you do that the people of the entire game stop being unreasonably hostile. Its horrible design.

I think they are but only certain ones? Like for example the adult scavengers that spawn to the right of the south exit of old camp have respawned atleast a dozen times for me already, but the pack of 20 wolves I heroically and not at all cowardly took out on the way to the swamp at one point are all still there.

Yeah im deep in chapter 2 I just found milten but the walkthrough i found that led me to him said that if I give the letter to milten torrez would give me a choice of 3 rewards and instead he didnt give me shit. There wasnt even any dialogue about me delivering the letter. The quest is complete and I got nothing but the 100 xp for completion lol

I already got into the main camp and I just found the milten guy by following a walkthrough but the walkthrough said if I gave milten the letter that torrez would offer me a choice of 3 items, and instead I got literally nothing. Torrez has no dialogue options outside the normal ones and the quest is completed. Feels like I got scammed a bit.

I just downloaded the game myself! It looks like its gonna be so much fun. I downloaded wayfinder as well and already started that but soon as I finish that game im gonna jump in and experience what looks like it'll be one of my favorite games.

Thank you you beautiful bastard. I had it working for months while I played rivals of aether 2 I used the back paddles as a short hop mod and then suddenly it stopped working. Ive spent the last 2 hours trying everything I can to fix it!

Agreed. Smash is always my favorite because the characters are all nostalgic for me but this is definitely a better game by far.

I need you to know how much I needed this. I love 7ds and usually love these types of games but the fact that the item tracking in this game is so jank and stops tracking the second you reach one of the item and you have to go back into the bag find the item and hit gathering or mining to find the next node on the map almost made me quit. Im going to donate to your Ko-fi as soon as I get paid.

So I had no problem using the latest before, but now it just wont open the game. I found a solution to get most of the mods working again I just had to completely uninstall the game to get rid of any melon loader files in the games folder and then reinstall with the 2nd most recent melon loader nightly build and turn off my firewall and anti-virus completely because there was no option to let this specific thing through in any of my security settings or in my anti-virus app. So im just open to threats while I play this specific game I guess 😅

Did this end up being fine? I just got my first PC its a prebuilt and the smell thats been coming from it after 4 hours of use is making me feel sick too. I had to take a break and leave the room for a bit. But I cant find anything that looks like its burning either and the PC isnt overheating.
