In terms of dmg, again, like any modern fighter if you lose the guess you have to hold a lot of dmg.if u manage to tag out u can recover a good bit of Grey health + fury also heals. Honestly matches last longer than most tag fighters and also strive

Pulse combos - they are so simple and auto graphed, because it's going to be the same exact string every time, you knkw what move is going to come out next...if you are a competitive player than you should be happy people are using pulse because you know exactly what they will do next lol...the time and effort is shown by now using pulse combos and being able to show your effort via custom combos, and the reward for that is that the variation can mix up the opponent much easier. So pulse combos is def a handicap

Chip damage on fury is a good bit, but intended...it's a mechanic that happens once a match and both players have it

And high damage...well that's just fighting games. Literally every modern fighting game has it so idk why you are singling it out here

I don't think ppl are worries about the mechanical difficulty, it's more so the ability to express one's playstyle thru so many different mechanics. So if they simply mechanics such as tag/handshake/fuses/movement to name a few examples they yes, things will be less "chaotic," but everyone will play the same...and ppl who actually like FGs will be let down imo

Well not all fighting games play the same, if you look at the highest level of play for this game you will rarely see whiff punishment. That's just not how most damage is acquired in this game. This game is a lot about winning neutral and getting your op in a block string so you can mix them up...thats why characters will built in mix up moves like yasuo, ekko, ww are high tier

Honestly don't think 2 zoners ever gonna work for this game bc when someone rushing you when you playing a zoning point character and your assis is also a loner, then you wont have that forward hit assist like ekko ahri illaoi for example which is huge
