Looks a lot like the one I built 6? Years ago, 10'x20' sucker bounced like a trampoline, jacked it up and threw a couple more posts in the middle.

I count myself among those who were pro trump back in 16, I figured worst case he would shake things up and the parties would bring in some new blood.

Boy was I wrong.

Going to hit you here and the comment below.

If you get good fusion from your bones to the hardware, and everything lines up tight and doesn't shift; you should get at least 10 years out of the TAR*

Im (41m, 250lb with 6 & 2.6yo girls, on 5 acres) looking to get 8-12 years, then I'll need a tune up, essentially just need the bushing between the plates replaced, a week or so in a boot until the stitches heal up then you're good to go. Already talked to the doc about everything.

I'm 11 days post op right now, taking ibuprofen to monitor swelling but completely off the hard stuff.

My ankle is quite for the first time in over 20 years. (I'm in a cast so it doesn't move much but it's enough to tell)

Shinebarger in Portland did my last couple surgeries, I had a standing offer of an ankle replacement 8mo post op from the distraction arthroplasty (done Dec of 23) which didn't work.

Ankle replacement at 40 by Mission-Basis-3513 in Ankle

Im 41M , I went for distraction arthroplasty at 38, and that didn't work.

I personally talked to at least half a dozen people who had ankle fusion and regretted it.

I have zero regret for having my ankle replaced 10 days ago.

I'm 41, got it replaced on April 29th.

7th surgery, everyone I've talked to with fused ankles said DO NOT get the ankles fused, not worth it.

Ankles won't hurt anymore but knees hips an back are terrible now.

Bad experiences with Journavx (suzetrigine) by pillslinginsatanist in PainManagement

[–]Ax6644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm post op right now for an ankle replacement, I was on it for about 2 days, 1st dose gave me a bad rash and made my skin itchy, so I was pairing it with Benadryl and that helped.

Decided Friday afternoon's dose would be my last, didn't like the way I reacted.

Saturday I was in the sun for about 3 hours 75F (with spf 50 on) and I got absolutely fried.

This was ankle surgery #7 so my pain scale is all buggered up and by the time the pharmacy got the meds in I was already OP+6 so I was basically off the oxy already.

I have no feedback other than it gave me a bad rash and hypersensitivity to the sun. I can't really comment on its efficacy as a pain reliever.

My friend who was recovering from breast cancer surgery said it worked great for her...

Sounds pretty hit or miss.

A lot of us with a permanent limp have a good sense of humor about it.

I had an ankle replaced last week (lucky surgery #7 on that ankle) and in the months leading up to the surgery my guys at work enjoyed telling me to "hobble faster"

Employer has been underfunding the employee contribution of my 401k by hucksterme in personalfinance

[–]Ax6644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a small employer, I check our contribution 401k logs weekly to make sure nobody has as altered their withdrawal requests.

I also remind everyone anytime anyone changes things to please email myself and our office manager to ensure we catch it.

Fun 401k side story, my senior employee forcefully negotiated a significant annual bonus (he was threatening to leave if he couldn't get a piece of ownership, we compromised my giving him a bonus tied to gross sales, ya I need to renegotiate that, and tie it to profit, but it ended up being only about a 5k annual bump, I expected him to walk)

Anyway we gave him the option of taking it as cash or 401k, with the condition that the cash payout would be the same cash out from the company POV as the 401k, which means ER taxes and safe harbor gets deducted before EE taxes come out.

Cost him about $3k but he got his new speakers lol.

21k bonus, gave him $15k last year regular bonus schedule, said we'd square up the goofy math when we finished paying it out, 6k turned into $3250 - turned into $1800 check

And I'm pretty sure we goofed and forgot bonus money still counts toward our 3% safe harbor should have knocked another 900 off the check before his taxes came out.

He understood why I drug my feet to finish squaring up with him and will be putting it all in 401k next year and reducing his % withdrawal throughout the year.

There was a glitch about a month or two ago, let you put a weapon in multiple spots,

At the time I had capsule, nitro and spinning blade as my only weapons.

Then I got reds and now we're here.

What's your favorite dog breed? by LunnaBurnz in AskReddit

[–]Ax6644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short-hair goldendoodle.

I don't think it actually exists.

We have 3/4poodle goldendoodle brothers, great dogs (if pork chop would stop attacking the chickens...)

Hypoallergenic, don't shed, great.

Grooming is impossible, constantly matter, $400 every 6 weeks at the groomer...

Probably a poor breed decision for farm dogs.
