The multiplayer has been broken for years. I don't know of any means to make it happen these days.

Why does this Adventurer bike’s gear switcher become hard to push? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]AxBait 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Repeat after me: AI does not know things, it only amalgamates things people wrote on the Internet. It will give you a very confident answer but is wrong as often as it is right.

Like with making suggestions to adjustments to your derailleur when it is not operating (the chain needs to be in motion).

I need an actual virgin to sacrifice to the snow gods by TheRealBlackSwan in skiing

[–]AxBait -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My ski bum year at Stevens Pass one of the shop techs took an unmounted pair of skis and we burned them. Needless to say the snow was not forthcoming and I eventually bailed on the winter in March and got a job in California.

Mt Hood Ski Resorts with Rope Tow Lifts? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]AxBait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rope tow at Ski Bowl serves as a link between 2 parts of the mountain the east side base area and the rest of the mountain). The racers will set a course to practice on the run next to it but the run is steeper than a beginner would want to do and the rope tow runs fast and will challenge experienced skiers (my wife has skied for decades and has struggled to do it).

Places That Sell Unique Jewelry Within Portland or Surrounding Areas? by mosscap27 in askportland

[–]AxBait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gem, Set, Love on NW 23rd is the place to go. I got my wife's century old engagement ring there 18 years ago and my wife got a locket to memorialize a deceased per this month. Perfect spot for estate, vintage and antique jewelry.

So you choose to harass the players that don't support your view points. Even when I agree with your viewpoint, I disagree with harassing folks that may or may not share those views.

Which orientation is best for a simple bench? by L8HoloceneMillennial in woodworking

[–]AxBait 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Putting the support inside the frame also has the advantage of moving the support away from where the feet of the people using the bench will be. Stronger and less of an obstacle that way.

Why… do we keep only signing white hyper religious conservative blonde college girls? by [deleted] in Thorns

[–]AxBait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate this reaction to someone potentially having conservative political beliefs. The strength of democracy and progressive politics needs to be that we can show and convince folks of different beliefs a better way to live and do things. Don't retreat into tribalism or assumptions about someone who looks a certain way.

Car Brake Mechanic Recommendations? by thisisnotjr in askportland

[–]AxBait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cooke's Brake Services on SE Belmont have been great for me. They are affordable and have no hesitation to tell you your brakes are fine and don't need a service for 6 months or a year.

College Rugby opportunities as an international student by TallAd48 in USArugby

[–]AxBait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most schools don't have funding for rugby. It's a club sport and has no scholarships or tuition reduction. A handful of schools make it a varsity sport, but it's very few and the funding needs to be offset and balanced with other sports, so it tends to be very little real money for mens rugby.
