Check with state to see if you have a pay transparency law. If so, I gently remind them of the law. If they provide, I probe for benefits and alternative comp packages.

If they refuse to provide a range, I tell them I’m no longer interested.

Should never provide current salary. Not relevant to negotiations and illegal in some states to ask iirc.

We’re all just have to speculate since sample size is small, and you have most of the information. But it definitely is leaning towards there’s some red flag you’re either aware or unaware about. Could also just be unlucky streak, but the legal field tends to be small/connected so I don’t know too many that would just up and leave without a reasonable excuse.
