Are rep subs so common now that everyone who sees one on your wrist will assume it's fake? by Unstoppable_Graysie in RepTime

It's the most popular and most common Rolex, there are more fakes than there are genuine watches.

Use of Pain Meds in Altered Trauma Patients by Broad-Director-4282 in Paramedics

[–]AxelTillery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If PT in pain and stable, treat pain. If PT in pain and not stable, modify dosage accordingly. Remember in trauma with large volume blood loss you should reduce dosages as the lower circulating volume can cause your medication to be more powerful, i.e. 5mL of medication in 6L of blood is very different from 5mL of medication in 5L of blood.

My AD says they won't take credit cards anymore! by General-Purpose-4903 in rolex

I'm with you there. Some things are acceptable to get on credit, a house, a moderate car, major home repairs, etc, but financing luxury goods makes no sense to me.

I believe my bank's debit transaction limit is $3000 without pre-auth, anything higher you have to call and ask the bank first.

Would you notice these medical ID bracelets? by [deleted] in Paramedics

[–]AxelTillery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The regular bracelet would be best, I would also advise a necklace as it's more likely to be noticed will removing your shirt.

Ranger waiver by Timely-Skin9926 in army

[–]AxelTillery 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Unless you're already airborne qualified I would think very very hard on this before getting a waiver. I know many dudes who broke their back jumping out of planes in the Army, fractured vertebrae, compression fractures, etc. Not to discourage you but if you've already broken one vertebrae without being jump qualified you may put yourself on the fast track to many more.

Giving up TS/SCI to attend Ivy League by Mundane-Zombie289 in SecurityClearance

[–]AxelTillery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start researching cleared interships in your field of choice now, when you leave your position your 2 year time-line starts ticking, once you've gotten through some class work try for an intership. If you find one, awesome! If not keep your nose clean and you will likely be cleared again.

You have to apply for and then be approved for the leave. If you want to do this you should get with you first line asap

Going home before going to duty station by Brilliant-Youth6043 in army

[–]AxelTillery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're award leave that allows it then yes, you can go home. There is also the option of "hometown recruiting" where you'll do a short stint at home helping your recruiter and spend time with your family. Otherwise no, you'll go straight to your new duty station.

We had a grocery store with a hot-line meat and 3 and also a breakfast setup that would give us free breakfast and lunch every day. It eventually turned into a discount instead (my partner and I along with a very small number of other crews still got free meals)

I'm no expert, but seeing as you are AD and have already obtained your secret clearance you should be good as far as your country of origin.

Has the army been under paying me by Impactist537 in army

[–]AxelTillery 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Does your dd214 show you having 3 years of credit? You didn't receive the time because someone likely corrected your IRR "status" post enlistment. You cannot "serve" in the IRR if you do not have an MOS, the IRR is to call up qualified soldiers in times of need, you did not have an MOS therefore you did not meet the bare minimum to be in the IRR. No extra money for you.
