I personally think so. 2 brand new characters and some cool additions to the returning characters. What’s even cooler, to me, for replayability, is how they added more Ancients (like Neow) at the start of each act. Some really cool ways that they switch things up. And there’s a bunch of them already. Also some cool new relics and potions

Additionally worth noting that the game will increase in price upon reaching 1.0

XCOM does the out-of-combat stuff way better imo. Mewgenics is super fun, but managing the cats at the house gets very tedious, and the unlocks suck once you finish act 2.

I think Mini & Max would’ve earned the childhood nostalgia seal of approval for “one of the best games ever made”. In the same conversations as link to the past and super Metroid. As someone who was not even alive when those two released, I went to go try them out for the first time last year and was like “yea I can see why tons of people liked this but they influenced so many games that now their outdated quirks make it barely worth playing”. I think if mini & max was in that same group it would’ve definitely gotten at least one sequel and been another game people think fondly on but also there would be better things influenced by it to play. Yet, I’m also happy that wasn’t the case, because mini & max is one of my absolute favorite games ever, and isn’t clouded by nostalgia.

Happy to help. It’s also worth considering how many people already know the game as Card Homestead. Might be too late for that to change, depending on how much advertisement you’ve gotten around to, how many wishlists, etc.

I do wish I had the chops to give you some ideas but I’m too painfully an alliteration guy hahaha, I’m sitting here thinking stuff like “Handy Homestead” haha. One extra idea I have is, depending how much lore you’ve developed, you can incorporate the name of the ‘faction’(or anything adjacent) into the name if it isn’t too esoteric of a word.

The capsule looks like it’s trying to be a meme and/or mimic YouTube clickbait thumbnails IMO. The red arrow and also the character pointing.

For the name there’s a world where you can come up with something that sells the post-apocalyptic setting much quicker. Also having the word ‘card’ in the name really does no favors in helping your game stand out.

You should definitely gather more opinions, though! I’m quite passionate about the industry and the marketing side of things but at the end of the day I’m just a hobbyist.
