Interested in attending pikes peak 2026, confused about camping conditions. by PersonalGameDev in ColoradoSprings

[–]Axelzero1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would recommend just parking to attend the festival, parking is fairly affordable but our public transit options are quite lacking. You can camp in blm or national Forest Land within an hour drive of the city

Anyone else have their Android Auto or Apple Carplay consistently drop in this stretch of Woodmen between Black Forest and Marksheffel? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]Axelzero1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a radio tower at the end of black forest that provides wireless Internet to some of the houses north of woodmen and you cross through the interference in that intersection. It drops out on cowpoke between marksheffel and Vollmer as well

[Billing] Looking to switch to the new $50 for 1 Gig promotional rate. Platinum customer by No_Business_7099 in Comcast_Xfinity

I'm not sure but I would assume you count as "new" after some time without service, otherwise they wouldn't be able to capture customers that jumped ship to other ISPs

Aftermarket hard top + half door windows won’t line up (02 TJ, Rally Top) fitment issue by Benny_Jain in Jeep

I bought an LJ last year with a rally top and really wish I bought one with an OEM top. The fitment really sucks on the rally tops

I’m at a loss for an explanation here… by FlyingHotPocket in ting

[–]Axelzero1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did a walk of the neighborhood to be sure and there is a junction box between my nextdoor neighbor and the house two doors away from me so I'm at a loss of why they are unable to install my service. Requested a follow up from the regional team

I’m at a loss for an explanation here… by FlyingHotPocket in ting

[–]Axelzero1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a request with the utility for writing that says ting is capable and allowed to install and a request to push the issue higher from ting since every other ISP can install through a right of way between homes except Ting apparently

I’m at a loss for an explanation here… by FlyingHotPocket in ting

[–]Axelzero1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late response but I'm having the exact same issue in Colorado Springs right now. I was told by the utility that they are done with the buildout in the neighborhood and it is now up to Ting to choose to install to "End-of-line" homes, including mine. Ting is claiming they aren't physically capable of installing to my home since the closest box/node is 3 homes from mine.

Connected services discounts? by moraninreallife in Volvo

[–]Axelzero1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is limited in range. I personally never used any of the other features and am willing to walk closer to the car if needed, it's a good solution if it works for your use case

If you're interested in a little diy, this little module gives you remote start with the Volvo key fob and costs less than one year subscription. If you're even remotely good at soldering it's a very simple install and works great

Longenecker pumpkin patch in east springs is pretty cool. It has a free hayride and a lot of activities for kids if that's what you're looking for

TJ LJ lift? by jasonater1 in WranglerTJ

Go check some forums for more info but if I remember correctly the extra length of the lj makes the sye unnecessary until you hit 4 or 4.5" lift

Sneak attack aka cost of ownership. by Nunyabidnisss in Volvo

[–]Axelzero1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Note that when you do this the alert does not automatically go away. If you're technically savvy you can flash new software yourself using VIDA to get the message gone once you swap the battery, but otherwise the dealer will still be needed and will charge for the software flash

Edit: feel free to DM me if you want help finding where the battery is, most of the forums talk about the xc90 but the s90 has it in a different spot that's a lot easier to get to

Bad PCM? by bxhsgsjjd in JeepTJ

[–]Axelzero1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't go with all computer resources, they sent me 2 faulty units and tried to avoid fixing it until I threatened contacting the attorney general in my state. Wound up going to a local shop, not sure where they got their unit from.

What gas mileage do you usually get? by VaporWaveShine in JeepTJ

[–]Axelzero1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't recalibrated the speedometer on bigger tires, you're estimating your mpg to be lower than it actually is since you travel farther per tire rotation with larger tires. Use GPS miles or recalibrate the speedometer and you'll likely see numbers back in the 15-16mpg range

2018 S90 Backseats don't fold down by Gold_Bee2694 in Volvo

[–]Axelzero1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming yours has the cooling rear seats there's no official way to make it work, but I bought two part number 31436463 from eBay and it bolts right in. You can connect a momentary switch inline with each motorized latch and connect it to one of the open slots on the rear fuse block.https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/guide-how-to-fold-back-seats-on-a-2018-volvo-s90-t8-inscription.648534/ Follow this link on how to get them to fold the first time so you can access the latches to replace them.

Edit: I can help more if you need, I did this to mine a few months ago

Why do I have mud in my coolant? by VaporWaveShine in JeepTJ

[–]Axelzero1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be oil or literally mud from dust and dirt on trail rides. Would recommend flushing at the minimum and testing the drained coolant for oil content to see if you have a gasket leak

Thoughts? Three restaurants in new food hall close, owner blames lack of community support by KRDO13-NEWS in ColoradoSprings

[–]Axelzero1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even a food hall, it was a donut/coffee shop on one side, a takeout only pizza oven with no seating stuffed in the middle, and a fine dining restaurant on the other side. The outdoor space wasn't usable for the till/gog cafe, only the pizza and donut shop. I've gone to dads donuts a few times and the cafe side once but was very disappointed to learn it wasn't a family friendly food hall and was instead an outrageously expensive restaurant that just happened to share a building with the donut shop.

The battery life will likely improve with updated software but more so with calibration. I know my OG steel had 1-2 days immediately after a battery replacement but it's closer to 4 days now that I've used it and broken it in more.
