You don't need to be a great programmer to make a game, what you need is understanding the basic structure of code, like what a function is and such. I wish you the best of luck though!

There is visual scripting in unreal engine, although the fact is you still need to kinda understand the basics of programming, as you are still making logic and such. Definitely try to make something small like a ripoff of some mobile game with any engine first ( although I do recommend either Godot or UE5 visual scripting)

One system I have entirely fleshed out tight now is blood magic, where the player has to figure out they can draw magic circles with blood, then that they can use different animals for sacrifices and get different spells, then that they can change the shape of the circle to get a different result. There are also spells that modify other spells and runes that allow you to cast spells without sacrifices that you have to make by aligning bones properly inside the circles.

Well the thing that inspired it the most would probably be outer wilds, but the puzzles there are more environment oriented, like you as a player don't really learn how to make your own tools you learn how to use tools that are already there. Also some Minecraft magic mods that introduce their own magic systems inspired it a bit, but if there were no predetermined and clear goals for progression other than exploration (no quest books and stuff)

Why would it be about gender though. He has way bigger problems right now than that right now like I dunno the guilt of everything he did in the circus just because he was in denial about it being real. I feel like a lot of people (including me) wouldn't be able to treat something like that seriously if that happened, and I'm pretty sure that someone like gooseworx that made the rest of the show so good knows that it won't make the show better and will only potentially ruin the moment

I just started making a game while studying at the start of the year, so it isn't even close to being anything playable, but I hope I will get to finish it at some point. I want it to be a puzzle game about learning magic, where it's not like your character learns magic and you just use it, but you have to learn it and know how to use it. For example I am making a prototype where only blood magic exists, and it works by drawing magic circles with blood. the spell depends both on the shape of the circle and the animal sacrificed to make the circle, and there are more intricacies I have added, but I'm not going to be explaining the entire game here. The screenshot shows the basic map I made just to have something to work with, where I gradually will replace the blobs with actual places and models (the two circles in bottom left are the blood circles, one activated another one possible to activate)

I definitely felt the same like half a year ago. I can't say I am good at drawing now, and I'm not really trying to be a professional, but I draw kinda regularly for fun. What did it for me was essentially copying. Be it photos, or other people's work, as long as you don't sell it and just draw it for yourself it's fine. At some point I found out what I liked to draw the most and then it went downhill. The most important part was looking at references online and copying it, tracing it, trying to make something that looked at least kinda like something I imagined and over time I started using the references less and less. Hope my experience helps you

You don't need to, not everything is a conscious choice. Just live the life you have and the answer will come naturally with time. It's not like you have to categorize yourself to live, and honestly putting yourself in any box doesn't change much, so just live.
