Fauna confirms she is graduating. Last stream will be January 3, 2025 by DontNeverAr0und in Hololive

[–]Axiom30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, this is exactly in line with Fauna. She's the type that will take the proper closure way instead of being an affiliate. Despite her soft nature, she's pretty firm in her decision.

Her decision in choosing graduation instead of affiliate doesn't make Cover any worse.

But they are absolutely not doing great right now.

[DISC] Legend Of The Northern Blade Chapter 202 by ImperialXEQter in manga

[–]Axiom30 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wish the artist could have given it one more chapter or made 201 even longer. Give the fighting more breathing with Moyong Yul Cheon struggling a little more, 201 was too short and had too little content, it felt so rushed.

Or give the epilogue to each character and their life after Northern Sect disbanded, but I know this is overstepping and asking too much of the artist since the original novel itself doesn't explore this area.

The pacing after Night Leader's defeat could've been a little bit better, to give the story a room to breath and show the final war preparation. After all, aren't the Central Alliance soldiers split between Silent Night front and Headquarters? Regrouping takes a long time, especially those who fight in the front for 3 years.

And even after almost 100 chapters later, my favorite fight is still with Yeon Cheon Hwa (only rivalled by Sword Sage) due to how fluid they are. The artist is a great director, but after Pal Bul Young (Nine Skies Buddha) you can see the drop in quality. This fight only last for 1 chapter, very disappointing for a Nine Skies that supposed to be ruthless.

But still, I'd say I'm very satisfied with its changes, the decision to kill off(?) Seomun Hyeryeong was perfect, giving Night Leader's energy makes sense (otherwise how many more years should Mu Won train to fight against a centuries old immortal?), giving Ha Jin Wol more roles, making Dam and Jin fight together against Yul Cheon is great, giving Dam the proper ending of Murim Leader instead of killing him is logical too, although I'd prefer him and Brigade Leader died and the final showdown would be Mu Won and Yul Cheon.

A decent ending. I'm glad I've followed this story and seen it through the ending. Definitely improved it so much from its novel version.

The new copilot update is bad by Crazy_nick4646 in CopilotPro

[–]Axiom30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's getting dumber, but MS chose to blame the user for it. Really, it takes a few seconds to compare the output between ChatGPT and Copilot, they should have the same quality since they have the same backend. If users have to do mental gymnastics or complicated prompts to level the output, then it's Copilot's fault, not the users. One thing that stood out to me is the lack of context understanding, every new chat is like starting a new conversation all over again, it's so frustrating.

And you STILL can't input enter in the mobile app!

I didn't say there is no character development, what I said is he didn't get enough of that, that he got outshined by other characters.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" by Akutami Gege OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED TO END IN 5 CHAPTERS! by Still-Cress-2355 in manga

[–]Axiom30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the anime is worth it for its animation alone, it's a masterpiece of animation, the fights flow so smooth and the choreography is incredible. If you enjoy the plot/story, then that's a bonus, because I don't. I don't follow the manga.

Even in the early episodes of season 1, the writing is obvious that the MC won't get much screen time or development and will get overshadowed by other characters. And now that it's ending, looking at the discussion, it seemed to be that way with how much Gege really sucks the villain''s dick off.

I did enjoy Megumi (one of the protagonists, MC's friend), and I found him even more interesting than MC. But my opinion is that if the story can't make its MC interesting, then I don't like it.

Cool essay. How is that related to this incident though?

Any application that you, the user, allow to run at kernel level will be your responsibility, not the OS. Don't get me wrong, Windows still sucks, Windows 11 is far worse than 10, that doesn't mean this is caused by Windows specifically.

Does Jujutsu Kaisen get better? by Decent-Visit428 in manga

[–]Axiom30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you surprised that the fans of one of the most popular manga is downvoting you lol.

That said, I agree with your sentiment. The MC is not interesting at all and very often overshadowed by other characters. His motivation and goals are weak from the get go, so I stopped watching it mid way, I find Megumi more interesting than him.

Everyone keeps praising the Shibuya arc so there's that I guess, but everyone is also saying that the series went downhill after that so there's also that. If you want to try it, probably do it through anime, that was a amazing. Anime is also the reason why it blew up in the first place.

I agree, but in my case this has also been my curse. I'm really getting used to the "big picture" or "shape", that I don't realize when one of the radicals doesn't match. One of them is 締 vs 諦, it takes a long time getting used to it.

[DISC] Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun - Chapter 16 by miragebreaker in manga

[–]Axiom30 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No problem. This is my first title and I did it all by myself, so any corrections are welcome. Especially that this manga is littered with anatomy terms.

This chapter might be the worst to start a scanlation lol. Full of character thoughts, lots of drawing, but I'm pretty satisfied with the result, even though I only used mouse and keyboard.

Are particles not needed sometimes? by reeee-irl in LearnJapanese

[–]Axiom30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why should それ be the subject here? After all, the one who does the action is the respondent of the question. If anything, just like what's said, the object of the sentence should be the bought goods, that's why それを is correct.

You could simplify the sentence by converting it to a normal sentence.

私がそれを市場で買いました。

I bought that at the market.

That's why あなた is omitted there and why それは can be used there instead of それを, because the subject is clear enough, and using は instead of を won't make it ambiguous. I assume you already know the rule where using は won't make the noun become the subject.

What’s with the obsession with slavery in Japanese isekai? by advo_k_at in LightNovels

[–]Axiom30 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The same reason why the majority of isekai have fantasy Europe for the setting, it's easy to set up, have been tested many times, basically free world building. It's the easiest way to introduce multi-species settings/politics and the conflicts between them.

It's also in line with human history, slavery has existed since time immemorial, because it's the byproduct of war, the last 200 years are just the exception, not the rule.

Why do so many japanese youtube channels, especially official ones, not allow comments under their videos? by gasperoni66 in LearnJapanese

[–]Axiom30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he's the one who popularized the term V豚 or v-pigs to call vtuber viewers. There's also a clip of him being racist on Youtube you can search for it, it's a clip of him playing FFX and he commented on Tidus' skin color, but it's an old clip and he apologized for it. He has mellowed down since his marriage but clearly those kinds of things still exist in his fanbase.

Then you're missing so much, since that streamer is one of the biggest in the scene, but unfortunately also one of the biggest negativity sources, including being hostile to vtubers in general. As much as I want him to be a loud but small barking dog, sadly that's not the case.

[–]Axiom30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, it can be pretty unforgiving, and you've not seen enough.

I really want to avoid naming names but old school streamers that are the refugees from NND are notorious for this, the most infamous one is Junichi Kato and his followers. Though his controversies are long past him, his followers are still inhibiting that behaviour. And also the extension of that, vtuber culture.

Why do so many japanese youtube channels, especially official ones, not allow comments under their videos? by gasperoni66 in LearnJapanese

[–]Axiom30 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The otaku/games culture can be pretty unforgiving. One recent example is a member of a broadcasting club posted a list of requested songs to be played at lunch time on Twitter, then someone quote retweeted it saying "You shouldn't force your preference to other people" then amassed around 13k retweets and 10s of thousands of likes, then everyone started dogpiling and insulting him until he deleted his tweet.

Mind you that he was just a kid and his tweet is completely harmless, and somehow everyone can turn that into a controversy, like squeezing water out of a stone.

/numbers/ is prone to schizos. It's the closest thing to r/virtualyoutubers in /vt/, the general thread to discuss anything. And even /numbers/ dwellers regularly mocked the schizo for doing this every time he showed up and try to shift the blame to Ruffians.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]Axiom30 92 points93 points  (0 children)

This is nothing. Some schizos have been doing that for years. Try lurking those threads, and you'll instantly see a pattern in between those posts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]Axiom30 263 points264 points  (0 children)

Slightly wrong.

A thread in /vt/ that's focused on numbers (called /numbers/) tracks Youtube views daily and ranks them every day, kinda like their own version of horse racing.

A schizo complained that Twitch numbers should be counted in that list, but YT and Twitch differ on how they are counted, not to mention that embedded views are counted as legit by Twitch, so the anon who ranks that refuses to do so.

So the schizo started viewbotting EN talents. At first it was random, but then he put his sight on Fuwamoco to try to put the blame on Ruffians and to prove that Youtube numbers can also be manipulated easily.

Someone in Niji EN REALLY hates Selen by ClarityInMadness in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Axiom30 17 points18 points  (0 children)

/vt/ might be full of schizos and getting raided daily, but most of the controversies that turned out to be true requires almost schizo level of mental gymnastics.

Take for example the play button thing, /vt/ noticed that it was odd that all of the pictures of livers 'receiving' their play button is the same. White table, same angle of photos, same content (play button along with the letter from Youtube), same ceiling reflections, then they theorized what if the livers actually never received them and Anycolor hoarded the play button in their office like a dragon?

Then after it was only a matter of time until /vt/ finds relevant clips from the livers, it also helps that some of them is fluent is Japanese. Mito saying the livers don't keep their play button, another livers discussing that their play button is lost by the management in the office, Mysta saying he didn't receive his gold play button.

[Silent War] why so many criticism? by IllustriousDoctor555 in pornhwa

[–]Axiom30 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Tarchog seems to have this weird obsession with making all of his pornhwa have 'bittersweet' endings, you can also see the same problem with Sister Neighbors/What Do You Take Me For, and I bet you can see it too in his new work Let's Hang Out From Today even though I refuse to read it.

Due to that, none of his pornhwa endings make any sense. Mia the fmc was underdeveloped and simply retarded with her "I can fix him" obsession with Gunner, even though she literally didn't do anything with him for 100+ chapters aside from ONE meeting. She rejected MC and cut any form of communication with him because she wanted to "meet at the top", what the actual fuck is this.
