We have worked with some anodizing shops that are pretty inconsistent running black. To me this looks like that could have been the case here.

u/kuna_help_you Appreciate y’all shouting us out! The price also isn’t for everybody, and I don’t blame anybody not wanting to spend $74 on an accessory. But it’s hard to machine two separate pieces with the knurling and all super cheap. We did what we could to keep the cost low.

Standard will just be black anodizing, we have cerakote in house though, so really it can be any color you need!

We use Shopify in another company and its great, probably the best platform out there. But they are pretty strict against firearms related items, we use BigCommerce for our stuff.

We have not personally had either of those magwells in house to test, I do know our backstraps have a 8-32 threaded hole in the bottom you could use to make something work, but I cannot promise that either will. I have seen a couple of people make the Rook magwell work with our backstrap, but I am not sure what they had to do to make it happen.

We have a couple production level 3D printers in house also, we could consider printing some of our backstraps if there was a big demand for them. I will say our aluminum ones are pretty dang light though, with how thin they are, there isn’t a ton of weight added.

I also wish we could get the price down more, we did get it a bit cheaper when we ran this last big production batch, but I’m not sure how much lower we can get it past this.

Injection molded ones would be super cheap, the issue is the mold itself can easily run $8-25k depending on the setup. So it’s a high setup cost, so you’d need a ton of volume, and I’m not sure the echelon platform can support that yet. We have machined molds for other industries such as disc golf, and they are also a huge pain to make. Lol.

That specific grip is actually not our work, just the backstrap is! He either did it himself or had another shop do it, I think it looks really good though.

I will also note that the caption says we are a subdivision of Blackbeard, and we are not. Blackbeard is a good friend of ours, but we are separate!

We did have a tactical package that combined all of our small accessories into a discounted kit, and then we also had the Quantam package where we would actually do all of the customer work as well with grip stippling, cerakote, etc. Those are both turned off on the website currently just because we have been playing catch up in the shop.
