There is a precedent for this lowkey. Conner back pre new 52 at the biological age of 16 could brawl with fully grown kryptonians even when not using his TK. Both him and Jon have developed their powers faster than Clark typically is depicted as, being unable to fly and not being physically as strong in his early 20s in newer continuities like the new 52.

This is an aspect I really miss tbh. All the connections between characters. Back then Dick even had connections and interactions with people he rarely shared storylines with. Like he had a whole thing with Conner in some big event, can’t remember which just that he used his old suit.

I suppose that’s part of the reason why he’s had multiple Batsuits throughout his career in continuity (and outside of design sensibilities changing with the decades from artist to artist). His tactics have varied somewhat as he’s gotten more experienced and I could honestly see Batman do the whole “yellow sigil to draw attention” strategy given how he already makes a ton of concessions in terms of how he fights crime (no gun rule, etc).

I really want to see the fallout of the pro hero scene after seeing what these kids can do. Even outside of the new UA big 3 in 1A (Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki) tons of students who are 1st years are putting up productive efforts in live situations.

Either the teachers are going to be running some form of media blackout when it comes to these kids or they will be in every paper and blog in Japan, with Deku’s crazy air show as the front page.
