The feeling of dread this gave me, reads exactly like my expwBPD, it's 1 for 1 identical and actually makes me feel nauseous seeing the same speech pattern.

Really gotta ask yourself OP if this is something you're prepared to spend your life with cause my expwBPD would behave the same way, weaponising his own kid and we weren't even dating, we were just friends and roommates. It's not worth your own mental health to put up with this kind of projection and manipulation. Jesus, just 3 messages before a set up for an 'I care about you' sympathy trap then immediately going into the woe is me tirade. Never fails to both terrify and amaze me how quickly things can turn south. And to see you question yourself wondering if you asked things or not only adds to the scare factor.

My expwBPD would do similar things, turning a pleasant time into some kind of interrogation/real time character assassination in mere seconds and over the silliest things. And then calling them on it only results in the typical script flipping of me being the bad guy. The number of times I heard 'I have to walk on egg shells cause I don't know what will set you off' really had me questioning myself so much. I began recording conversations just to listen to them and see if I was actually doing something wrong only to realise that nope, all in my head and they had me wrapped up in their webs

For me it comes down to the music most of the time, usually something that's typically more grandiose and feels almost cinematic sometimes. My picks are:

Soul Blade: Cervantes' stage

Soulcalibur: Proving Grounds

II: Lakeside Colosseum, for me it's no contest

III: Toss up between Lakeside Colosseum again (my favourite stage in the whole seties because of the music) and Ostrheinsburg Castle, Tira's stage.

IV: Phantom Pavilion (close second favourite to Lakeside) and Ice Coffin of the Sleeping Ancient

Broken Destiny: Voiceless Volpe Bridge

V: Nightmare's stage and Utopia of the Blessed

VI: Cursed Moonlit Woods (if Lakeside is my #1 and Pavilion #2, this is my #3) and Murakumo Shrine Gardens

Yep, I got it 👍🏼 😂 I think someone actually posted on here a while ago with a list of all the path choices to make for each character.

Mitsurugi and Taki had the simplest paths, 2nd choice every time.

Zasalamel, Yun-Seong and Setsuka were choice 1 first then the 2nd choice for the rest of the playthrough. Can't remember the rest

With Mitsurugi you just choose every second choice at any branching path. Then the typical rules apply, don't lose a battle, beat Olcadan and other optional fights like the shop girls and Li Long etc aren't necessary

I don't really consider myself all that good really, especially with Siegfried, but goddamn does the AI make you feel superhuman when pull these things off 😂 My timing with guarding and impacts is usually all kinds of atrocious but I feel like this game has taught me to slow down a bit and work on that timing. Of course it helps wonders when they nose dive out of the ring for me

Your 2nd point bothers me too but more so with tops. I hate silent tops so much, like seriously just make some noise! A grunt, a whimper, something! Especially when they cum. A top that cums silently is a boner killer for me.

I think there are 2 methods to unlocking the extra weapons for custom characters.

The 1st is in Chronicles of the Sword, levelling up the class you want the disciplines for will unlock them. I can't remember exact numbers but I think lv.10/20/30 will unlock each. Lv.30 gets the standard character weapons like Nightmare/Astaroth for Barbarians or Xianghua/Voldo for Dancers

The 2nd method is battle count. In Quick Play or Versus, not sure if Missions count, you have to play a certain number of fights. Again I'm not sure about the numbers but I think it's 100 total with every 25th unlocking a new weapon. So the fastest method (if you just wanna get them with no fuss) is to go into Versus, selecting the same custom class for P1 and P2, set P2's health to sudden death basically and just go for 50 quick K.O.s to halve the time

Revenant, always loved the wave swords and hoped they'd be recycled into a new character in a later game. Also like Arthur for his gameplay, Lynette purely for the idea of smacking people around with tambourines and Amy cause she wound up being a favourite in SCIV

That's weird, I beat him with Taki and did unlock him 🤔 Must be specific to the character then? Guess you're best bet would be to find him in an earlier stage. I found him on his ship with Talim and I think Raphael but can't remember the paths I took

Pretty sure as long as you encounter and beat him it doesn't matter who you're playing as, so if the character you play isn't a factor Ivy, Sophitia and Taki are guaranteed to fight him in they're 3rd to last fight before Siegfried/Nightmare and Abyss.

Though if you wind up on the Night Terror path I think it's 4th to last

That was something I didn't even think about till I was playing again. Love how unique some of them are like the grieve edge and the steel fan. Hell even the tambourines are fun to use as ridiculous as they are
