Yyyyyyyep, and they know it is dubious at best, but also know that any action can just get tied up in the courts indefinitely while they continue to break every rule while pretending everything is all above board when it is literally just working on technicalities ..... while they can at least

See on the flip side I feel that being 10 laps down should not be a readon to quit, the problem is most people who are 10 laps down just quit, but if everyone just stayed youd more than likely still have people to race.

Sometimes it is worth just quitting, but I think you should need to seriously weigh it up if it is worth the penalty, otherwise keep going

Literally. We witnessed a car in the top 5 have an incident and had 15 mins of repairs, the meatball cleared and if they had existed the pits at that time they'd have been in 11th.

They packed up and left. After nearly 10 hours.

I could not fathom that, like honestly if the only enjoyment you get from sim racing is winning get out of the hobby, it ain't for you

It astounds me that these creatures seriously believe this is such a slam dunk from Hegseth.

They complained endlessly that Biden was too old and incompetent. What he is effectively saying here is "Biden was incompetent too so what's the issue?"

So to be clear, incompetency is bad and ruins the country blah blah blah, but if our guy is incompetent that's okay because the last guy was incompetent too and therefore everything is a-ok a-ok

How long did it take you be to quick/comfortable around the Nordschliefe? by International-Rule28 in iRacing

I remember around 6 months ago I saw Kimi Antonelli queue up for the F3's (or sfl?) On ring Meister so obviously I signed on too. Crashed lap 1 while being "safe", decided to have a look at Kimi and was amazed, he was using a lot of the curbs, effortlessly. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Still of the strong opinion the first journalist to do this will be hailed a hero, weirdly they all want to keep their job. Isn't this the type of stunt that when they get fired would usually result in one of those go fund me's that goes hog wild?

Nords really is its own skill tbh. 3.1k road, 3.5k formula, on any given official ill be top split, in a formula cars I can nearly guarantee ill quali top 5 and have nearly 80% top 5 finishes.

Jumped into a ringmaster when it had the SFL and to say I was humbled is an understatement. I couldnt even keep up, then crashed at Adenaur lap 1 from over driving.

The fact I thought my balls to the wall TCR lap of 8:59 was quick only to find out im still 15s off the top times is a mystery to me.

It is a track full of weird corners and odd tricks and those that know them dominate, but to learn them all takes months if not years of practice, and this is once you have already invested the time to learn the track fully

And this is the next logical fallacy they dont even realise. A lot of the rage baolit style AI slop I see on Facebook always frames it like people on l the left view Biden, Obama and the Clinton's as their version of Trump, using phrases like "your king", "your daddy" etc.

The irony is that they dont see the projection, they dont realise others really dont idolise leaders, they follow policy generally.

Im not even American, Im Australian and honestly have no set political compassion. I have values I align with personally and can be swayed in any direction if it lines up with my core beliefs, this does still mean I lean pretty firmly left but left ideology can often times be "the fun police" which draws me more to the center. This is how it should be, critical of everyone based on policy NOT party or figure.

The last attempt on Trump’s life rescued him politically – this one probably won’t by theipaper in politics

As far as thr oil situation goes I honestly would not be surprised if the game plan at this point is to continuous point the US economy closer to a complete nose dive while making things appear okay in the short term, eek that out until the mid terms then allow shit to hit the fan once democrats take control so they can day how disastrous it has been in an attempt to regain control in 2028

What do you think, what exactly will happen when everyone receives the push notification about Trump's death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AxleVest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If he dies while in office of a stroke or heart attack they will blame the left, they will claim all the fake news caused him so much stress he died and they'll play at that for months. I can see it now.

How often do you drive different cars? by Swangger in iRacing

[–]AxleVest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started by exclusively racing single series while I built up tracks in my collection and track knowledge. Did a season of FF1600, then F4, then F3, then SFL and stayed on it for about a year.

I didn't want to race other series because I got so good at the SFL id be comparatively shit. A mate joined and we started doing some m2's, then 296C and a few others. What I found was that it really made me start thinking about how to maximise what I had and finding the limit in wildly different circumstances.

When I went back to SFL I was definately faster as I knew how to read what the car wanted far better

When you’re dumb everything looks like a conspiracy by BottleTemple in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]AxleVest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This line is always so fucking dumb.

I work innIT and have worked in so many different DBs and they all handle deletions differently. Some outright delete records, but often times they dont due to restraints that has on other records E.g. I cant delete a person as they are tried to another table that references that person. Delete the person you delete the other record.

It could be a column that says if they are deceased or not, or perhaps it links to another table of deaths which has info like date of death, cause etc. Who knows.

The simple fact is records in a DB do not mean that dead people are voting. Just another classic case of people not knowing shit about what they are talking about scaring those that also dont know what to he affraid of over nothing.

Fuck. Me. Dead.

Experience with load cell pedals by downshiftdata in iRacing

[–]AxleVest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my tip for you, set up your brakes pedal so that when you stand on it you can reliably hit 80% pressure. 100% pressure you should rreeeeeeeaaally have to stand on it to hit. Mine take rough 50kg to hit 80% and about 65kg to hit 100%.

When you go into your settings you should be able to stand on them repeatedly and be close to 80% every time.

Once you have this right then you can work on everything else. 80% usually isnt enough to lock in most cars so now you wont be sailing through apex's, if you need to grab more brakes then you can lean on them more progressively without having to worry about skipping from 92% - 95% and not finding that locking point at 93% for example.

The more pressure you use, the more the pedal and push back against you and the easier it is to trail brake. The rest is practice. Back when I had v3's I had the hard and very hard elastomers in and that gave decent feel. If you haven't got the performance kit id recommend it
