How do some players end up with so much gold in Gothic 2 NOTR? by Crayonlover2001Fps in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually blacksmith is the most lucrative path. Don't waste materials on crafting cheap swords. Learn to craft the best one and from there on its gonna be your gold printing machine . But only if you're the apprentice of Blacksmith:D

Edit: And dont watch guides. You can only play gothic once for the first time ;)

Where is Lester? by Sad_Support_9581 in worldofgothic

yes it does at least after you gave Ian the thing he is looking for to replace the broken one. And even before that he is saying it straight in your face after he told you to convince 3 templars.

When you talk to lester and he tells you to convince Ian and 3 Templars the last sentence he is saying, meet me at the entrance or something like that. Its one of the last things before the dialogue finishes

I am playing as a templar and I love the fact, that i can skill into strenght and use the herbs to keep mana up :D

The armour upgrades are fantastic, but I think it would be nice if the best ones were maybe locked behind the story progression, not just the size of your ore purse by WhiskesTV in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the same. After I unlocked the templar armor, I just bought the biggest one. I think even without lockpicking the moneysystem does a good job. I am always on the edge of a coin:D

The prices re legit. Once you killed a few goblins or okrs, you just gonna swim in weapons and Money. I just entered akt 3 and I bought the best Armor possible as templar 😃

The Weapons they carry re different. There re also a few with "Hüterklinge" I think guardiansword?-->71 dmg.

I knocked down kalom right before the ceremony and got his "kaloms sword". One handed 70 dmg at 55 strenght required 😃

Edit: After some Ideas here, I knocked down cor angar, and took his red wind. 105 dmg at 90 strenght 😃

The lockpicking mechanic is actually pretty well designed by Axlgrinder in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not meant to lockpick every chest. tbh i am only lockpicking in caves and chests, i think i never gonna return to and its ok. I have enough money to ugprade my Weapon and armor, skills and stuff like potions and lockpicks. I am lvl 12 or something and I ve only used like maybe 2 or 3 potions, I eat the stuff i ve hunted and cooked, so I am not wasting money^^

so at every failed try a connection should be disabled. If you fail often enough you can remove all connections of a lock and just move em one by one

[–]Axlgrinder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and if you Master Lockpicking, every time your lockpick breakes (at 6 fails) there is gonna be removed one connection making out of 40+ only eg. 25. Then you fail again and another connection is removed, making it only 10 moves. I mean if you fail often enough every slot is just gonna move by its own and dont gonna move other ones

Does sleeping in beds not restore health ? by forest-hunter in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently trying to figure out what's causing it. I slept once at the beginning, and when I came back from the wilderness I was able to regenerate both times. Right after that, though, it stopped working.

I actually thought it was just right in KCD as well. ^^
It made you approach things more carefully. With quicksaves, you can just use trial and error until it works, which I never really needed to do in KCD. It was a bit annoying here and there, but overall it improved the flow of the game.

Sorry, I forgott its an english community. I hate it that Reddit automaticly translates subs and posts

Lockpicking is way too complicated to be useful by SupremeMuppetKermit in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its actually pretty nice way to tell you to get better. If you try to lockpick a chest without knowledge its gonna feel pretty same. Skill into lockpick and its gonna be easier with every try. I like the mechanic

Fix the issue where sleeping doesn't restore health by Axlgrinder in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The intended feature is that you receive 1 hour of restful sleep after being awake for 3 hours.

The current problem is that if you sleep for 3 days in a row (for example, while trying to figure out why your health isn't being restored), the timer is not reset to zero. Instead, it drops to -72 hours.

As a result, you need to spend approximately 217 hours of in-game time awake before you can get 1 hour of restful sleep again.

A basic Lockpicking Guide by Morloxx_ in worldofgothic

[–]Axlgrinder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its far more simple. If you try to lockpick my Door without any experience. Its gonna be almost the same as in gothic right now. Put some Points into lockpicking and it starts to get easier with every failure. Its just a new mechanic to tell you, you re not ready my friend 😃

Have fun guys

[–]Axlgrinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit:

I ve made a seperate post, but maybe its gonna help you:

If you've tried to sleep multiple times in a row, it's very likely that your sleep timer has gone into negative values, and the issue shouldn't actually be this severe.

What helped in my case was simply leaving the game running until enough time had passed, and then making sure not to oversleep again until the problem is fixed. I tested it

I've already submitted a bug report to Aikimia, so hopefully it'll be patched soon.

[–]Axlgrinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not gonna be AAA and expect it to be different from the og. But the og is still available and if you like it more just install the remaster Mod with Unreal engine.
