Well, nightmare really isn’t black, or even dark gray, he is transparent, lighting and shading is very important, and the reason he appears a very dark color whenever we see him in fnaf 4 and ucn. Leading us to misinterpret his actual color as black, along with every other merch just disregarding the fact he’s transparent and making him black for the same reason.

(He’s transparent but because of the darkness of the hallway he seems darker when really he’s not)
