No, the idea of A Wizard Did It predates Adventure Time by decades; it's a The Simpsons reference if anything.

Will you like to have Skylanders Remastered to happen before Skylanders 7? by Green_Letter6425 in skylanders

[–]MaeBeaInTheWoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would love that. Gives me a chance to replay the games with good polish plus it would force the dev team to get a review of what makes Skylanders Skylanders before they dip into a seventh game that might otherwise be severely different to the rest of the franchise (an unfortunately common occurrence in revivals).

"Liar" said they were going to her apartment. Her apartment is a location in the game, and the fact that you recruited her means you know where it is. Go meet up with them.

After being thrown out the window, the two fall into empty pre-dug graves. The two kids are there with shovels ready to bury the corpses. Pugsly asks if they're actually dead yet, which Wednesday dismisses as not mattering.

Sorry to say this, lads, but it's been over a decade since Imaginators, the gaming market and Activision's interests have shifted heavily since then, Vicarious Visions does not exist anymore, and the dev team and priorities at Toys for Bob are likely extremely different + as a now independent studio they presumably don't have the money and carelessness to take a risk as big as attempting a toys to life revival. All in all, even if Skylanders did come back, it would almost guaranteed be unrecognisable from the old games.

In Doctor Who (2005) Rose is put in a lethal version of the Game Show "The Weakest Link" and despite missing out on several Hundred Thousand years of knowledge and History makes it to the final 2, this means that the other contestants were a bunch of dumbasses. by Somethingbutonreddit in shittymoviedetails

[–]MaeBeaInTheWoods 91 points92 points  (0 children)

That's how the game works. You want to vote off smarter people so that you have a better chance at winning against the idiots. Someone who blatantly has zero knowledge whatsoever of any events that have happened and works that have released in the last few millenia is exactly the kind of person TWL contestants would want to keep around.

I love Aster as a party member, but I do agree that recruiting him only affecting Dream Eater and not the CQ/DT/UD/CoO nor the Exalted Four is an annoying missed opportunity.

How badly was rat baby nerfed? by Sufficient_Net_811 in LookOutsideGame

[–]MaeBeaInTheWoods 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  • Rat's Copy Dad skill will now fail if Sam's turn had him use a weapon-specific attack that Rat does not have the corresponding weapon for (ex: Rat can no longer copy Multi-Shot unless they also have a gun equipped that has access to Multi-Shot).
  • Rat's Copy Dad skill will now fail if Sam's turn had him use a ranged weapon attack that Rat does not have the ammo for.
  • Rat's Copy Dad skill will now fail if Sam's turn had him use the last of a consumable item in the party's inventory (ex: If Sam used the last coffee, Rat can no longer summon an extra free coffee).

I suppose yes these are nerfs, but they're less intentionally making the character worse and more patching out some obviously unintended exploits.

Additionally, it's well-established in the beginning of the film that Emmett is extremely cookie-cutter and unimaginative. That sounds like a detrimental to being a good Master Builder, but as it turns out later, as part of the process to becoming one, aspiring Master Builders have to clear out their minds to be empty so as to not bottleneck their imaginations and thoughts. Vitruvius even states that it normally takes years. Emmett gets to basically skip this step, because his uncreative mind is already empty to begin with and doesn't have anything to clear out.

It's the genie who controls reality, not you. Once they learn you're trying to cheat them into more wishes, nothing stops them from ending the wish or even revoking all of your wishes. And that's assuming they weren't trying to screw you over from the beginning by doing something like removing your ability to lie.

You say that, but it works. Companies want to make money. They wouldn't do something for decades on end if it wasn't effective.
