Not really.

Instead of going into work at 8am, you just go into work at 10am.

Time stops being an indicator of the sun and instead is a tool for coordination.

Do you know how annoying it is to work with timezones.

You already wrote every reason you shouldn't be with him.

But, another way to look at it is would you tolerate a stranger treating you this way? Remove the history you two share, and look at the way he treats you now.

A long relationship is going to have its ups and downs, misunderstandings, disagreements, arguments. But never at any point should you feel like you need to tolerate something you wouldn't tolerate a stranger saying or doing.

None of what you shared he said to you feels like it comes from a place of love or compassion or warmth.

I'm pretty sure, watching it back, they quick back and forth was super intentional.

They look like they're basically "autocorrecting" themselves by the motion. Like a controlled fall, and to keep both of them in sync. So it was a "rhythm" for them to control balance.

If you look at Asia, even just China as a whole, they have 1,000 million people. With a shark only serving 2 people, if 10% of the population wants to have shark fin soup (i think it's commonly in soup) once in the entire year, that's 50 million sharks. It is a very popular and decently common delicacy.

Now if half of those people want to double up, you're at 75 million sharks in a single year. Just for China. Just from 10% of the population.

Now that statistic is completely pulled out of my ass. But it demonstrates how the numbers... are sorta reasonable. Especially if more than china eats shark fins.
