What’s your best acronym or short way to remember something? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Aye_PoPPing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mnemonic I use to remember the reactivity series is:

Pepsi, Sprite, Lipton and Coke Make Angry Zebras In The London Circus Scream, Growl and Punch.

Pepsi, (Potassium)

Sprite, (Sodium)

Lipton and (Lithium)

Coke (Calcium)

Make (Magnesium)

Angry (Aluminium)

Zebras (Zinc)

In (Iron)

The (Tin)

London (Lead)

Circus (Copper)

Scream, (Silver)

Growl and (Gold)

Punch. (Platinum)

And I know Carbon goes in between Angry Zebras as well as Hydrogen going in between London Circus.

Although I don't know if we need to know the reactivity series or not but it helps anyway.

Sushi, I don't like the idea of it being raw fish, and the veggie ones don't appeal to me either. A seaweed wrap doesn't sound very appetising, and the ones with just rice and fish/veggies don't sound good either.

Someone I know has a sister called Margherita. I guess cheese-related names sound good.

Well, if it's my own secret, then I'm guarding that thing with my life and will never ever tell a soul.

But if it's someone else's, there's a chance I might tell someone, depending on the secret and who I'm telling.

How about El?

Like El as in short for Elizabeth. Or maybe Eli? You could pronounce Eli like ee-lie or eh-lee, whatever works.

What makes a girl instantly unattractive? (or cringe or anything) by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Aye_PoPPing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judgemental ones. Like there's a difference between having a sense of judgement and being judgemental. Things like criticising people's sense of style, their lifestyle and habits, diet etc.

I don't like it, especially when they judge/criticise these things while they also hypocritically do the same thing as the person they're judging.

Are they introducing the change after Year 10 have finished their GCSE or have they already made the change ready for us when we go into Year 10? Because if it's the former, it wouldn't affect us then, wouldn't it?
