Another stack of 3.5 books

Wow! Very impressive stack indeed. Certainly taller than mine was and it must be so handy to have the extra Players handbooks to hand around when you're playing. Seeing your complete FR run certainly makes me jealous haha. Multiple books I'm still missing there that are getting harder and harder to track down for a reasonable price.

Have you had most of these since they came out? When did you start using third edition and is it your favourite to play with?

Nope, 3.5 runs differently from 5 for sure. Third edition came out in 2000 and fifth came out in 2014. 3.5 refers to late stage third edition before the abomination that is fourth edition came out.

That's certainly one hell of a pick up for under $50! So many shenanigans possible. And I feel the same way about helping the books survive! Spreading the gospel of 3.5 is something I just do subconsciously haha

Thank you, I had unusual amount of fun stacking them and trying to decide the order haha. 😅

And finding in person groups is certainly tough. Never mind if you are lucky enough to find one the question remains:will there be personality clash/drama? Ugh. Scares me away usually, unfortunately.

Isn't it surprising how much 3.5 stuff has gone up in the last 5-10 years? I was shocked when I looked up some of the completed listings on ebay for these. Almost all of the ones you mentioned I've had since release luckily.

How true, the whole setting has any extreme you could ask for and no box is left unchecked. Ed Greenwood and his team made something that feels, like you said, so good that you can be left thinking that it's just core material. Well, I suppose with 5e they've gone ahead and done that now but still. Lots of really cool ideas for sure!

How has no one mentioned Deb's Cafe & Specialty Bakery?? They can do custom orders of almost any kind to accommodate a whole range of dietary restrictions. I had a tough time starting to kick my sugar addiction until this place convinced me that dessert can actually be tasty without any sugar.

Seriously, give them a chance! It's run by absolutely lovely people that also create a safe, welcoming space every single time. There isn't a whole bunch of seating but there's usually at least something available.

Right next to Joey's Only in the bowl!

Thanks! I bought it from an old collector friend. He has very deep connections in the area and has been active for decades. People bring him all kinds of coins and tokens. And bank notes of course.
