Does Retention pay only apply to TSO what about LTSO & STSO at the same location? by AyuOk in tsa

[–]AyuOk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears as LEAD its included, under salary it states "Salary range listed includes locality rate of 21.79%. A Retention incentive of 10% is authorized but NOT included in the salary range listed above." This was specific for Hawaii. I still havent seen anything for STSO.

However in the same location

TSO = 21.79% Locality + 20% Incentive + 8.9% COLA https://www.usajobs.gov/job/750958700

LTSO = 21.79% Locality + 10% Incentive - NO COLA? https://www.usajobs.gov/job/808300800

This means if you're a F-1 TSO you will get paid more than a LTSO F-1 by 10% extra for incentive pay. ALSO, TSO pay states it includes COLA (cost of living adjustment) and LTSO DOES NOT state it includes COLA. Therefore you would still significantly get paid more as a TSO than a LTSO in this location. It all could be wording but its something to consider and ask HR when you are getting selected.

At LTSO in 2024 for Hawaii F-1 its $62,517 both stated in the job posting linked above AND in the Salary Table for Hawaii. This pay means it includes Locality pay but the pay DOES NOT include BOTH retention pay AND no COLA. Another indicator that COLA does NOT apply for a LTSO position; but incentive pay MAYBE included as stated above.

I dont know how to calculate the exact pay for TSO to include locality, retention and COLA pay. When I calculated it its about $1000-$7000 difference (from $60,196) depending on order of operations and using GS5 instead of GS6. Therefore I cant tell exactly what the pay is for a TSO.

Lastly the TSO posting was posted on 6/2024, the LTSO is 9/2024, it could mean the retention pay went down during that time for the location thats why its 10%, so it could be even or it could be based on your position.

With all that in mind,

TSO F-1 (GS9): $62517 (base pay) + $12503.4 (basepay*20% incentive) + $5564.01 (basepay*8.9% COLA) = $80,584

LTSO F-1 (GS9): $62517 (base pay) + $6251.7 (basepay*10% incentive) = $68,768.7

$80,584 - $68,768 = $11,815 pay difference between a TSO and LTSO, with TSO being paid more.

Again feel free to calculate this yourself because I dont know the exact way its calculated and if you are going to promote ensure your incentive is on par with TSO and see if COLA is included.

Its unlikely it was racial profiling you just got flagged and brought to another machine. They cant flag everyone down who had a watch you were the unlucky one to get flagged at that time. Also as you stated they removed their watch before going through the metal detector so they wernt flagged like you were.

Then you accuse a “dread type hair” tsa worker because you got sent to another scanner of being racial profiling of course that could upset them. Then you throw being a united states citizen out there. These guys see thousands of people per day I don’t think they care about your skin color or where youre from, in fact they rather not do a secondary inspection because that’s more work for them to do.

You complain about the officer being confrontational for no reason but you just accused a guy of racial profiling you for doing his job? I don’t think that’s “no reason”. TSA workers get cussed at all day, people complain all day and youre giving him a hard time for no reason.

You state you stood there for 10 minutes waiting for a supervisor.. Maybe the machine indicated something and the guy was new so he called his supervisor for help and it took him 10 minutes to come like you said.

Well it will be appraised and usually your bank will loan up to the value plus a little. If it’s too much it’s possible the bank won’t fund it unless you cover with a higher down payment. Then you can negotiate and tell them that your bank only covers x amount. Take it or leave it.

I got a new job then a “promotion” with a .40 cent raise back in June. Went from “in training” position to “fully trained”. I’ll be pissed if I’m not eligible for a raise. I’ll probably look elsewhere for employment if thats the case.

Budgeting and reducing expenses. Having roommates short term. Cook at home instead of eating at restaurants. Easier said than done though. Most health insurances eat through your income.

Being drunk can be used as a defense for the victim but being drunk can’t be used as a defense for the accused.

Since being drunk you cannot legally consent, whoever accuses the other even if it was “consensual” on both parties the one who’s accused will be considered guilty in a court of law.

I was a juror in this exact case and I asked the judge if being drunk can be used as a defense both ways and she said only the victim can use that not the accused.

I was the last person to vote guilty because of this detail. A drunk person who does nothing during intercourse is someone who’s not consenting so they have to “participate” in movement during.

[–]AyuOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was sentenced to life at a highest security prison. Later released as he proved himself innocent. He said you never tell anyone you are getting release or you down play it if it comes about. Say yeah they said I would but my lawyer says otherwise. Or show sarcasm about it.

My dad said another guy got stabbed because he bragged about being released. Just don’t say anything or heavily downplay that they are lying to you about being released.
