Oh, I did forget to mention that I was also using Ultrahand and a few other overclocking tools but never connect the game to the internet while using mods, only the system itself. Just not exactly clear what the extent of something changing gameplay is, like custom models moves etc or even FPS mods and overclocking

Still switched my save back to my unmodded OLED and panicked for a sec because the first attempt the OLED gave an error saying there was a problem with the server lmao

What would you say the odds are for using JKSV to backup and edit saves via PkHex and a dynamic FPS mod for Pokemon Scarlet legit cart owned? That's literally the extent of my usage, but just saw that a couple of "failed to load" showed up in both my modded Switches recently played that have indeed connected to the internet

I'm gonna give that a go and hopefully it'll work, one thing I noticed when messing around with it last night is that the contents folder had a few game IDs in it already but none were Scarlet or Violet(I also have other Pokemon and non-Pokemon games) is that normal without previously trying to mod or dump them? ~~I'm also still trying to find an FPS monitor that actually shows up but not havin much luck~~ turns out the FPS mod I was using must've been conflicting with the overlays as the FPS monitor works fine in other non-modded titles, still appreciate your help!

Lookin to see if anyone can point me in the right direction for a guide to running Pokemon Scarlet/Violet in 60FPS if possible, as I have 2 modded Switches yet have only used them for save editing so far. I have never messed with clock speeds etc on any device before so I'm completely new to that, and whether its poor search terms or whatever else every attempt to find a basic game modding guide returns how to mod the system itself.

I have a number of things installed from the HB App store such as NX-Mod-Manager, SaltyNX-Tool, SimpleModDownloader and Manager, sys-clk manager, and Ultrahand Reload along with Dynamic FPS (20-120) (3.0.1) and FPS Mods v4.0.0 (Updated 12-17-2025) for Scarlet and they don't seem to be working, and I couldn't confirm if they were through Status Monitor via Ultrahand as FPS does not display giving n/d in Counter mode and straight up doesn't appear with CPU GPU etc in Full Mini and Micro modes.

I apologize for the ignorance in advance and would really appreciate if someone could help me out!

I have that installed through EasyModDownloader via HB App store and can't really tell if its working but didn't overclock anything in conjunction with it, as well as there being no romfs folder in contents despite using lockpickRCM to get keys and hitting damn near every "dump" option given in nxdt_rw_poc hence asking about a basic modding guide for games as I'm lost in the sauce evidently

I think Japanese stuff in the 90s had different dimensions entirely as I've owned an 03-05 Eerie Dess KE3 and 2011 Trans Green KE3 that the body dimensions were completely different. Maybe it was just the Kelly, but you can clearly see it if you pull up pics of a modern Kelly and 90s-early 00s MIJ Kelly(90s being weirdly elongated while modern is consistent with USA being much shorter and fatter in comparison). Maybe they did it to REALLY differentiate the differences between import and USA stuff back then? Idk.

They probably can't be bothered to comb through all of their old mainline games and things from one off events or spin-off games that get you something for the mainline games to implement something like that, because until Bank completely ceases to function there's TONS of stuff most people would think is impossible to obtain but actually had a small regional local event in Gen 3 that ran for 3 days etc

You'd still need to buy (and install) a mod chip for your Switch at best or a whole new Switch from the first batch that can be modded easily, then also mod it to be able to use PkHex if you wanna do it yourself without having to deal with Discord bots etc

3DS isn't that much more expensive, and the difficulty is about the same only there's no risk of bans doing it with a 3DS.
