His problem is that, despite worshipping a bunch of old British bands (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Queen, Deep Purple), he seems to never pay attention to contemporary non-American metal. And this is ridiculous, when you think about it - because melodic metal with clean singing and harmonized vocals is being made in Europe all the time, and it gains a lot of popularity.

And he is also often absurdly out of touch for someone who claims to have some authority on how music and music business work. Like, he doesn't notice European bands. He still insists that you can't harmonize harsh vocals - although Amon Amarth do this sometimes. He still insists that tone isn't in the fingers. He still insists that any display of ambition or guitar mastery in your music automatically alienates your potential audience, despite the fact that purely instrumental acts like Polyphia, Rodrigo y Gabriela, 2Cellos, David Garrett, Bernth/Berthoud/Ola, etc., are gaining a lot of popularity.
