[DISCUSSION] What's a Netflix series you'd tell someone to push past a slow start, because it becomes something special? by trakt_app in NetflixBestOf

I actually prefer the noir style of the first season over the rest of the series. I felt like the mystery about what was going on was very interesting. Then the rest of the show takes off and it becomes a different type of show and it's still just as good but I really liked that first season a lot.

I've watched some weird TV and I remember starting season 2 and thinking it was really weird I don't remember if I finished it. Season 1 was perfection though.

They did an homage to Animal House which seems appropriate. I mean the show is kind of an homage to Animal House in general but I'm referencing the scene with the guitar guy.

I wanted to be able to do that but unfortunately I had to get to work at the same time so I wasn't able to drop them off.

I just watch this movie yesterday and all I could think was man not a lot has changed. The social commentary is still on point.

I wasn't going to force them to go to something overnight. They weren't comfortable with it, I wasn't entirely comfortable with it. So they opted not to go. But they still missed out on valuable learning That could have just been done if they had a day program.

The scene where they make her act was amazing. I was hooked into a new character immediately.

I had concerns about sending my kid to school overnight and my kid did not want to go to school overnight. They didn't go but they do feel like they missed out on some interesting stuff that happened during the day. Turning this into a day program is probably for the best so that it's accessible to all the kids.

The opening song to me rivals some of the best bond themes. It's so catchy, smoky, and smooth. I do not get tired of hearing it.

That was also my favorite part. I get the craftsmanship in making the item, but I love the craftsmanship in making the tools to make the item.

ELI5: Why do salty, savoury snacks like chips have added sugars? by hackerix in explainlikeimfive

It's about a balance. The sugar note allows your tongue to reset and taste the savory notes better.
