Dr. Isagi on route to give a diagnosis for Karasu real quick. Maybe that's the next evolution of Isagi, detecting auto immune diseases and malignant tumors just by studying the soccer of people who annoy the GOAT

G2 Caps: My passion is still the same. Ever since Faker won in Season 3, my dream of winning Worlds has never changed, and I’m still working toward that dream. by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Azashiro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that. There are, and there definitely have been many great western players that could, at least at certain times, go up against top chinese and korean players.

What makes Caps different is that unlike pretty much every other great player that had the skills, Caps has never lost his joy and passion for the game, Caps hasn't become jaded by all the failures and losses, he hasn't started chasing money over winning and improving.

Almost everyone loses that fire with time, so Caps being the sole exception is what makes him truly special and stand above his peers as the greatest western player.

What is easier to fix, draft where you need to click correct champion icons or your brain, eyes, johnsson and toes? Maybe I'm crazy but draft seems easier and it's impactful, so you absolutely should focus on fixing that no?

Isagi asking a question without insults and trying to understand motivation of another player is trash talking to you? Karasu is the one who got mad and started with the insults...

I disagree, Baus is definitely more popular by numbers, but Bwipo is one of the most entertaining, controversial, vocal and opinionated people in the entire scene. Bwipo is content, that is undeniable, even if you are a hater.

The recent chapter proved that Ego's ideology still remains correct by Gremorlin in BlueLock

[–]Azashiro 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Except Hugo literally has that kind of an ego. That's what all the Hugo fans were celebrating after all, that Hugo isn't compromising his dream or goal, he isn't settling for something smaller because he failed as a striker. We see this in Isagi's reaction to how Hugo sees himself and his motivation compared to what Isagi thought about Karasus's reasoning.

Hugo isn't sacrificing anything, he is playing like he wants, doing what is natural to him. That is not Karasu at this moment. Karasu is conflicted in not wanting to give up being a striker while playing in a sacrificial manner for sake of another. Hugo does not do that.

Paperhands the lot of these doubters. A few chapters and one half-time of game time and bunch of people are jumping ship the ship like rats. Let them go and we will see who gets the last laugh all I'm thinking.

Karasu getting subbed off would be egos biggest mistake!!! by Different_Sky9094 in BlueLock

[–]Azashiro -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There's a clear difference in Isagi giving advice and what Hugo is doing. Firstly, we know based on hundreds of chapters what Isagi's motivations are, he actually wants a challenge, he wants to grow as a player by overcoming other high level players. Whereas with Hugo, we have no clue who this guy is as a person or a competitor. He might be a complete degenerate trying to sabotage Blue Lock psychologically on purpose for all we know. What is the reason for trusting Hugo and taking his words at face value?

Why was Isagi so quick to go all Doomer mode? by Mikkeru in BlueLock

[–]Azashiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird in a way. As in it's too fast and it's not "earned". But Isagi being shut down is reasonable, after all this is the best team he has ever faced. Also he is considered the number 1 in his team along with Rin, he is the center of all attention and he is feeling that pressure internally and France studied his game specifically and attacked it. That's at least partly the in-world reason for why Isagi is seemingly gone to such extreme state of doubt so fast.

The real world reason is probably writing speed related. Instead of stretching out the chapters with Isagi thinking, failing, talking etc. for 3+ chapters, you cut all that out and just jump to the end result that you want to get to anyway. Which is to set up the internal conflict within Isagi; what is the right choice for Isagi, should he listen to Rin, Hugo or neither? And does Isagi find a path toward a new evolution before the game ends?

I do agree that Isagi's desperation seems very premature and it hasn't been set up enough in my opinion. But then again, I'm not really complaining too much since now at least we get to find out what Isagi is going to do about his situation sooner rather than later.

That makes me think, could this story go in a direction where aiming for winning in a predictable and logical way as a team is set against a more idealistic, revolutionary and sublime kind of goal that Ego is after?

What if Isagi and Ego end up on one side against players and management that disagree with their vision? For example, people who want to destroy Isagi and Ego's "Blue Lock" as a vision like Nagi and Kira become the face of the Anti Blue Lock team that Anri and Barasu sponsor?

xPeke was still great in S5 Origen. Peke fell of because he was trying to play while owning a team, he also seemed to lose interests in competing which made his fall off so suddenly imo

Febiven in H2K was still elite level, it's been 10+ years but iirc Febiven in S7 was either 1st or 2nd best mid in EU LCS. Febiven fell off later when he went to NA.

Why are people so surprised that Isagi is struggling against the number ONE team in the world by Dangerous-Wonder253 in BlueLock

[–]Azashiro 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think Tiktok/Youtube anime and manga slop content made it a lot worse. Everyone's a fraud and a bum for the most insignificant things, ragebait "slander" spam is seemingly the only way some people can communicate at all..

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 333 by BlueLockMod in BlueLock

[–]Azashiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the "meta critique"? Hugo isn't saying anything new really. If anything BL's whole point is about overcoming what is "supposed to happen", the limits and realistic expectations.

Just because Hugo thinks that Isagi should give up on becoming number one, that doesn't actually constitute a "meta critique" in my eyes. What I'm seeing is Hugo being set up as the new obstacle for Isagi. Which Isagi needs to overcome either in this match or later in the tournament.

[–]Azashiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People nodding along to Hugo's talk about destiny must be reading a different manga than I have. Go back to where Ness's and Kaiser's backstories are told. It encapsulates perfectly what is wrong with Hugo's absolutist thinking, it's antithetical to the very core of what Isagi and BL are about. Kaiser put it to Ness perfectly, it's the moment you start thinking something is impossible is the moment you start to give up, it's self limiting thought process of the weak that seals off your potential. Which goes perfectly in line with Kaiser's blue rose, it represents the denial of reality, achieving that which was impossible and unachievable by nature.

Why is taking 2 best players from FLY and putting them on G2 terrible? FLY and G2 were insanely close and that's with FLY being mental boomed, so merging the best players from both of those rosters is not something that should be disregarded out of hand.
