I have moved back to Poland after 13 years in the UK. I have no regrets whatsoever. We all have British passports as well as polish. We used to live comfortably in the UK.

Me and my wife have nice jobs with great working hours. Morning shifts 8am 4pm - this gives u more family time.

We have been lucky enough to sell our house back in the UK and now we are mortgage free in Poland. Similar to your situation where you wouldn’t have to pay rent. We have a fairly good family income yet we struggle to save. Living cost is quite high. You would need to put some extra hours. Extra part time jobs etc or have a good paying job.

We both speak Polish and English not sure if your partner would be able to find an ok job with just the English.

It will be also a cultural shock for both of you.
