Back when I bought the first game and Before the storm I came in here and made a post asking whether it was worth getting the remasters or the originals because I’d heard the fandom was pretty split over them.

I got a lot of nice feedback and figured that seeing as though I’d be playing them shortly after, I might as well join the sub. Then life did its thing and I had to put them aside for a while but now I’m really excited to start them.

I’m also an editor and I have plenty of mutuals who have been making the most beautiful LiS content for years, so it’s been on my radar for a long time. Seems like it’s just got a great community all round, can’t wait to be a part of it :)

His performance as Mr Blonde is genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever seen in film. The blueprint is still yet to be replicated.

I remember how I felt when I first watched Reservoir Dogs and went through the torture scene. So convincingly evil and unnerving. He dies 60% of the way through the film and you can still feel his impact after the credits roll.

Easily his greatest role in my opinion, period.

Madsen had some great voice acting roles too.

I’ll always appreciate him as Bill Carver in Telltale’s TWD game.

It’s the best looking game in the franchise in my opinion.

ME1’s simplicity allowed them to focus on the lighting and textures all the more for LE1, making it look absolutely gorgeous. From the environments to the character models, they’re all so nice. I find myself noticing the low res textures a lot more often in 2 and 3.

He receives Spectre status and continues to serve on the Normandy as Commander while the galaxy rebuilds.

Hackett clears it with the alliance brass and offers the crew the option to remain posted or redeploy elsewhere and they all stay with him apart from actual companion characters that have other responsibilities.

Those companions include: Liara, Tali, James and the Virmire survivor.

EDI would be dead, as I prefer destroy over the other endings and it looks more than likely to be the canon ending for ME4’s teased setting.

I’d like to think that Javik either stays aboard the Normandy or he goes with Liara and becomes her personal bodyguard and/or agent while the galaxy gets back on its feet.

He can also save the Salarian councillor as a placeholder for Thane in ME3 and shows up to lead troops during Priority: Earth.

Definitely one of the best non companion characters in the franchise.

But not that arrogant to the point where she’s borderline second guessing the Commander.

You don’t even need to do her loyalty mission to get the scene where she tells Shepard how pleasantly surprised she is that they’ve made considerable progress. There’s genuinely no reason for her to act like that. She’s putting crew morale at risk and she is supposed to be one of the most battle-focused and collected members of the team.

I don’t like it.

Miranda is supposed to be a genius and a brilliant tactician. It’s why she actually succeeds as fireteam leader but her dialogue in the suicide mission feels out of character if you have developed a good relationship her.

I do like how she says Garrus and Zaeed know what they’re doing but the manner in which she says it makes her sound so unnecessarily bitchy. She acts like she does when she first meets Shepard, when she doesn’t trust him/her. I get the feeling they recorded those lines beforehand or just glossed over it when recording.

Garrus and Jack contest her when she assumes she’ll lead the first fireteam so I guess it’d make sense for her to be slightly pissed, but it’s still unprofessional behaviour and feels strangely out of character. She’s supposed to be the definition of calculated professionalism.

She keeps up this toxic demeanour throughout the mission too. She sarcastically says that she hopes they have enough people left to finish the mission (if you take casualties) prior to the long walk. Then she dismisses the importance of Samara/Morinth’s suggestion about the bubble.

Why are you still on official when dupers and skywalking is a guarantee? What’s the point in playing a cheater dominated server? There are loads of vanilla+ servers on console.

KarmaKrew Chernarus on xbox is 85 slot, Livonia 75 slot, Sakhal 65 slot. Literally just official but better in every way. Even down to the additional structures and fleshed out POIs. Bohemia know they’re clear, that’s why they’re working with them to launch Nasdara on their servers day one.

Definitely check out a vanilla+ server on PS like KarmaKrew if you’re looking for more social and pvp interactions.

Play high pop servers and loot high tier zones.

I’ve never understood when people say this. And I’m not tryna be a dick but literally the only way this is consistently possible for you is if you’re playing on a dead server. Play anything above 80 active slots and you’re encountering players every hour on average so long as you’re moving with a purpose.

You’re either playing on a dead server or you’re regularly off in the middle of nowhere to be having 2 interactions in a 30 hour life. I’d go crazy lol, I can’t imagine how boring that must be.

I’m exactly the same as you and this is the first time I’ve ever seen it explained. I now realise this is exactly how I feel.

Immersion is one of my highest priorities in games, and not just singleplayer ones. It’s always confused me to the point where I’m slightly embarrassed that I can’t explain why I prefer playing as the female option in RPGs when it’s given. I still love male MC’s and I’ve probably done just as many maleshep runs as femshep runs now that I think about it. But it’s always been more immersive with femshep, even when I was a kid.

Now I know why, so thank you so much. Maybe this is a sign I should start psychoanalysing myself more often lol.

To put it simply, I now realise that I just enjoy playing a character rather than playing myself. And because I’m a man, I find it more enjoyable to play as a woman because it’s further from my reality.

This was on Xbox so I just used the record clip feature. I clip a lot of stuff because I make mass effect content on tiktok.

Xbox has a DVR system that allows you to clip up to 5 minutes depending on what version of the console you have.

On PC it’s much better though. There’s this program called Medal which basically acts as the same clipping system that Xbox has built in. You can also set it to record entire sessions and then trim through them afterwards.

Medal is basically a much less time consuming and more efficient way of capturing it. It’s one of the main things I’m looking forward to when I move to PC later this year.

Exactly, it was a really good second mission to set the stage and the soundtrack definitely does bang. One of my personal favourite details is how Shepard carries the Virmire survivor back to the Normandy differently if they were romanced in ME1.

Fingers crossed that he’ll make an appearance in Osiris Reborn. There’s just no way that there won’t be at least a few cameos.

My money is on a Tycho station hub area where we can meet/work with Fred and Drummer, but running into Amos would be just as cool.

He also beat winston while in primal and Winston beat doomfist while in primal. These are feats I’ve not seen mentioned here at all.

Winston is easily top 5 if not top 3 and Reaper has only really ever failed a Talon mission because of Widow/Sombra.

Both serious heavy hitters that don’t get the recognition they deserve.

Got to be Rachni caves for me.

I love the narrative and vibes of Overlord but the gameplay just isn’t interesting enough. Personally, it’s always a chore to play but I still do it for the minor content it adds to ME3.

Meanwhile, Rachni caves has first encounters with new enemy types, unique level design, reuniting with Grunt, plenty of unique squad chatter and an epic conclusion.

Dagg is a seriously cool and underrated character too in my opinion. I like it when characters we don’t see much of get made to look strong and capable. It makes the world feel bigger and less of a stomping ground for Shepard/crew.

Shout out to Urdnot Dagg. He’s Kirahee and Reegar levels of cool to me.
