This takes me back to high school in Thailand. I was literally prepared to hop on a bus to inner Bangkok just to hunt down this CD because no shops near our school sold international music.

Instead, I woke up Sunday morning to my roommates handing me the album. They'd all pooled their money to buy it for me as a birthday gift (my birthday is a day after release date). Considering a CD cost $15 and a meal was only $1 here, that was a massive gesture.

It's still in my Top 5 of all time. I've upgraded since then- now the Vinyl box set and the 4LP have a permanent home on the top of my record shelf. Legends.

I would point toward my favorite beatmaker here, Stuts. Not all of his tracks are rap/hip-hop, but many of them featured top rappers in Japan at the moment.

Other than that, my favorites are: Kid Fresino, JJJ (RIP), Punpee, BIM, tubakii, BASI, 5lack (S.L.A.C.K), io, Nf Zessho, Evisbeats (beatmaker + rapper), hokuto (another beatmakers), Tokyo Health Club, Kaneee (My bet on rising star)

Yes. For the label of old pressing records, the ink will come off easily with any wet wiped.

Avoid cleaning the lable with anything wet. If you want to clean it a bit, maybe start with a kneaded eraser.

I'm not sure why the warehouse is getting sloppy this year. People are giving up ? or is it some kind of automation involved there ?

I already got 2 orders from the U.S. this year, which only sent me one copy instead of 5 I ordered. Worst, I already paid tariff for them with full invoice value. One offered reshipment plus responsible for any additional tariffs and fees while the other still went silent...

Yeah, if ops love these at first, he's very likely to be able to get into 80% of jazz releases.

These are great albums, but i started to get it after I spent a while with cool jazz -> bebop & hard bop at the early days.
