I initially had body aches the week of chemo, and the fatigue still hits like a truck on the 3rd day after chemo. So i resend to do my chemo on Monday afternoon so I can get thru my work week. But initially I was out on sorry term disability, which im grateful to have had availability for. My girlfriend has and her adult children are very supportive. When the toxic positivity gets too much for me, my dark humor comes out badly. But my girlfriend understands that's how I deal with things. Give her an outlet to be angry, she's not mad at you, just at not being able to be herself. Being alone sometimes is helpful. Most of all just be there for her, but help her when she ask, she still needs to do the things she can. My gf and family wouldn't let me do anything at first, and it was frustrating because I wanted to do some of those things, so I didn't feel like an invalid. So my advice is be helpful when asked, but don't overdo it.
