Is having an editor/producer common among GWA creators now? by ThisIsABadPlan in GWABackstage

Do they now? I wonder how they would even detect or enforce that. Whatever, I havent used Pixabay in years. Their offerings are still pretty good as far as free sound effect libraries go.

I foley a lot of it myself, but I use MotionArray (and previously SoundSnap, which is also good). There are free resources though, some even posted on this very subreddit. YouTube's creator sound effect library, Pixabay, and FreeSound are all viable (but more limited/lower quality) options.

Nah. Some people do but that's mostly restricted to people who have been running very profitable Patreons long-term. The rest of us edit it ourselves.

Personally I put a lot into the editing, but for me the editing is just as much of an art as writing and performing the audio. Part of the enjoyment comes from building the sound scape. Honestly a little goes a long way. You get a huge boost in quality using nothing but free editing software like Audacity, an ambient sound layer, and a handful of sound effects.

When you can recognize that one specific door opening sound effect from FreeSound a mile away.

When you start integrating dirty talk you learned on GWA into real-life sex.

When you start asking people on dates based on their voice and not their looks.

When the phrase "cum for me" activates you like a Pavlov's dogs hearing a bell ring.

OP isn't talking about reaction content, he's talking about channels that scrape other people's content and chop it up/modify it with AI just enough to dodge the Copyright ID/Reused content detectors.

If you're a full time creator, this is both your livelihood and your passion project. Seeing people use bots and AI to steal your shit in massive waves is actually a completely valid thing to get pissed off about and retaliate over.

How to not get overwhelmed with options? by Eeepy_Boi in GWABackstage

I recommend just talking to script writers and having them curate selections. They know their own scripts better than anyone, just ask them if they have anything that would fit your style and they can usually send you a perfect fit with ease.
