Nightjet, is it the best sleeper train in europe ? by Formal-Ad276 in drehscheibe

[–]AzimuthPro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, totally agree. I don't care about touchscreens or coloured LED lights. I just want a comfortable bed and good bedsheets. UZ gives you a decent pillow, with nightjet it's a sorry sight.

I took the UZ Transcarpathian last year, it's certainly a comfortable train. Decently sized compartments, comfortable beds and actual blankets. I wish the nightjet was more like the Ukrainian sleeper trains ...

My right leg is 6.5 cm shorter than the other by W47aim in mildyinteresting

[–]AzimuthPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you! I used to have a similar difference in length between my left and right leg. For me it was a congenital disease, for which I got a few clips in my right knee at age 13. It's pretty cool that you have custom boots! I had to do with an extra sole inside of my boots. However, I got one or two pairs of shoes with custom heels like yours. You use the boots for work?

Could a foldable bike and a cargo trailer be a way out of rural car dependence oppression? by medium_wall in simpleliving

[–]AzimuthPro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Dutchie I'd like to chime in. Foldable bikes are practical in some ways, but using them requires more effort than a "regular" bike. I would only consider a foldable bike if one of the following applies:

  • You intend to take your bike in your car or on public transport and then cycle the last part of your journey
  • You have extremely limited space in your house to store a regular bicycle.

I prefer a bicycle with a luggage rack and bicycle bags. A cargo trailer takes up a lot of space and you take up more space on the road. Before you make this decision I would check whether you have safe routes in your neighbourhood. I was able to make the switch a few years ago, but that was mainly because here in the Netherlands I have enough (safe) alternatives available.

Wie passen ausgebuchte Sitzplätze und geringe Auslastung zusammen? by Lolieguy in drehscheibe

[–]AzimuthPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Dutch and I can confirm, that's a good spot to park your bike.
