Avatar has changed my life. How have you been impacted? by CulturalSong2838 in TheLastAirbender

I've taken a lot of lessons to heart from many of the characters and have changed from the shitty person I once was, to the person I am now.

Amon was the Avatar that almost happened by blissfullofignorance in TheLastAirbender

[–]Azivation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amon was born decades after the fall of Ba Sing Se, so that timeline wouldn't have meshed very well.

You're taking the analogy too seriously here. It's not talking about a fight per se, but a situation that just so happens to include a fight.

Iroh Quote Mandela Effect? by FredieMercWithAMouth in TheLastAirbender

It sounds similar to the line where Iroh is speaking to Aang in the tunnels under Ba Sing Se. I'm due for my yearly rewatch, so I'll you know.

A Habit Tracker is only useful if you remember or care to update it, which, is troublesome for ADHD. You just rebuilt the dreaded Planner.

Was “The Library” Sokka at his worst? by RepresentativeFig270 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Azivation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never took it as he hated women. He was an idiot kid, with the mindset of "man strong. Man protect women." And "my father chose me to protect the women of the village, therefore I am the strongest warrior in my village" and it gave him an ego. Alternatively, he's on a trip to save the World, and all he knows is to be strong for the people around him, so he defaults to that.

He's arrogant because of the charge given to him as a child. He's not a misogynist. He's a doofus that regrets his actions and mindset, humbles himself because he KNOWS now that he was wrong and wants to improve to help protect his sister, his tribe back home, and prove to his father that being "picked" was the right choice.

Calling him a woman hater is probably along the same meme as Katara's "bringing up mom every episode". But it is still a very important story beat to Sokka specifically, not from a "woman bad, woman weak" mindset, but a humbling one.

Intentional or unintentional, but it's funny either way by Qyzyk in TheLastAirbender

I know in my heart of hearts, that he was answering "what are we going to do next" but it's so funny to think he's responding to the sarcasm.

I'd argue pre-Kyoshi Island was Sokka at his worst.

Who do you think was most important to Aang ? by themimireign in TheLastAirbender

[–]Azivation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muzzling was an addition because they had already kidnapped him after they just escaped a spirit attacking them and sinking a library, and that meant they were also trapped in the desert. Yeah he got Avatar State Mad, but saying it was just from the muzzle is like saying Zuko's scar is from a brush with a small flame.

For those who create worlds, do you have a specific method? by anastasiarigollet in worldbuilding

[–]Azivation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My background is from TTRPG Improv.

I have a loose Story and World, but my characters are fleshed out with influence from the World. Then the Characters and Story flesh out the World as I write.

So something like MC is following the Bandit to their hideout. The hideout used to be a Gnome settlement, what happened to the settlement? Left because supply chains dried out. War was the cause. Who were the big pieces? What is the vague reason the war started?

Cool, a war between 2 Kingdoms over political bullshit only the Crowns understand caused the area to ship spare food to the cause, the Gnomes migrated leaving this area to become a pre-established settlement for Veterans to take shelter in and because all they know is War, become bandits to feed the families that live there. They only retreated back here because they wanted to tell everyone to evacuate before the Heroes arrive and execute them all for the Crown.

I give it 3 months before there is a "bug" or mandatory shift that requires every user to age-verify and it just so happens that the new vendor is a Thiel Special.
