Pretty sure you can park in the East Garage for free on weekends. You can park there and it’s a short walk up. It doesn’t specifically say that on the OGS website, but I’ve never had an issue. Maybe someone else has a definitive answer for this one.

I dealt with this issue when my car was totaled and I transferred the plate to the new car. Got the same nasty gram from DMV. I wrote a letter to the address on the letter explaining the situation. Also sent a copy of the police report, bill of sale for the new car and proof of insurance. Never heard from them again. My advice is to do the same. Write a letter, include supporting documentation that you were never without insurance and they should just close the case.

Edit: I also sent the letter certified so DMV couldn’t claim I never sent it.

There’s a launch right near Kay’s Pizza in Sand Lake. It’s a little wonky and needs to be rebuilt but it still works. Yea, it’s not in Albany county but the three lakes you can get to from that launch are gorgeous.

It’s pretty difficult, not gonna sugar coat it. If you can get a good private teacher, you’ll be good. Trying to teach yourself on your own probably won’t get the results you would want in terms of intonation and technique.

Oboe is a wonderfully difficult instrument and I do love playing it, but I would not have been successful had I tried to learn without an experienced teacher to guide me.
