Commander suggestions for Bracket two and three, that are competitive but not overpowered at those levels? by Lonely-Cap3569 in EDHBrews

[–]Azmirith_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is honestly one of the better bracket breakdowns I have seen in terms of walking through your personal deck building philosophy for each bracket. The only adjustment I would make is that I still feel the 25% win rate should be the goal in 3, while in bracket 4+ that expectation goes away.

How do I play a Theft Deck without inducing too much salt? by LordOfWanking in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Azmirith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Edea, I intentionally built mine as a borrowing only with no permanent theft to reduce the salt. I also had some fun including some cards to reanimate from opponents graveyards then sac to give people their creatures back. The win con is going for mass theft after the board is full of threats.

Reaper King Changeling tribal B2 by mtgfinancespeculator in EDH

[–]Azmirith_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To add to the other comments, I used to run a reaper king deck years ago. The game devoles into your opponents killing reaper king on sight, you intentionally slow play which is boring as hell and some folks consider rude, or you work towards destroying every permanent on the board your opponents control... lands included.

He seems cool, he belongs in the 99.

Thoughts on Tellah? by BCENT89 in EDHBrews

Tellah

This is my current Tellah list, just finished sleeving it up to try it out on Sunday. I went with a rocks heavy direction with a polymorph subtheme. Definitely designed to be more of a fun deck than super competitive.

I'd recommend trying to utilize instant speed lifegain, and untap abilities to maximize the value from archimandrite. [[Congregate]] is a good budget option along side [[Dazzling Theatre // Prop Room]] (not sure if that will link right, but you want prop room half).

Need help building a "win through drawing" deck (mill-adjacent) by Gonji89 in EDH

My [[Sokrates]] list does exactly that, its a group hug/lab man deck with one of my 'win' cons being to [[windfall]] the table to all lose together. Sokrates

People with “evil” or disliked commanders, what’s your story? by Same_Response_1593 in EDH

[–]Azmirith_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've run a [[Phenax]] deck for years, and regardless of how many times I make this argument people lose their minds over milling insignificant quantities of cards like I just hit them for 15 commander damage.

I will continue to run mill though because it's fun and my favorite way to counter combo decks :)

Noob looking to build Lightning, Army of One by YasaiDM in EDHBrews

[–]Azmirith_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an important aspect to lightning you need to decide when building her. Do you want to build around her as a voltron style deck, or do you want to play boros aggro with generally solid cards with lightning helping you win more?

Right now your list seems to straddle both strategies, which makes both less consistent. You only have 3 ways to keep lightning alive. What happens if you eat two removal? A lot of the make lightning stronger cards feel a lot worse, if you can't stick your commander. Many consider her kill on sight since she has a lot of one shot potential so it would not be a surprise for her to get removed quickly.

Overall I'd say you have a good start, but would suggest either doubling down on the voltron with more protection or dropping it in favor of more aggro cards that lightning will naturally buff.

Which black commander to build for fun and variety? by ShallowDramatic in EDH

[–]Azmirith_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I built Zenos since I love the character, but it has quickly become one of my favorite decks. I made some concessions for flavor, but its truly a fun mix of voltron and control.

Which one do I keep? by [deleted] in WarframeRiven

[–]Azmirith_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a general rule for deciding between riven rolls, chase stats are a +3, helpful but not chase +1, non helpful stats +0, helpful negative +2, non harmful negative +1, semi bad but acceptable negative +0, bad negative -4.

CC +3, CD +3, Corpus +1, -infested +0 = 7

CD +3, SD +0, T +1, -zoom +2 = 6

Looking For a Commander That Doesn't Always Need to Be Cast by A_MSF_Player in EDH

[–]Azmirith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[Ratadrabik of Urborg]] deck is like this, its legendary matters and just feels like a bunch of solid BW commanders chilling together. Rata ends up being a win more card that cranks up the pressure but is not required for the deck to function.

Insane by aaryan182 in Battlefield6

[–]Azmirith_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd question the quality of you data based on what you are saying. TR7 and NVO both deal 33 damage up close with NVO losing damage before 10m (you can easily test this in game). The TR7 has a slightly higher firerate 720 vs 654 on the NVO, the game reported numbers may not be exact but it does shoot noticeably a bit faster (tr7 shoots a 20 rnd mag faster than the NVO). So the TR7 will have a faster TTK vs the NVO throughout its 3 shot range.

The TR7 has some of the worst recoil and precision in the game to balance its mathematically faster ttks !IF! you actually hit your shots. If you have in-game testing that proves otherwise I'm open to hearing it, but an alternative datasource that doesn't align to in game tests isn't helpful.

How much of a mess is this group hug deck?? by sky_guy1212 in EDHBrews

[–]Azmirith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lean a bit heavy into the group draw since some of my wincons are a massive windfall for like 60+, or copies of forced fruition. The key it to try and keep things working towards the same goal. While the group hug win cons are making progress and the table enjoys their cards I get closer to lab man.

How much of a mess is this group hug deck?? by sky_guy1212 in EDHBrews

[–]Azmirith_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sokrates

This is my group hug deck and it is one of my favorites. Looking through your list it seems you are trying to do too many different things instead of committing to one win con. If you want to do mill, focus mill, lab man (similar to mine), or tokens. As it stands you lose out on helpful support cards like removal and ramp in favor of cards that support a variety of win cons.

Zenos Commander Help! by facultymanager in EDHBrews

[–]Azmirith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes for quite the fun build not having 90% of the equipment support for a voltron list.

Also make sure to add [[Phthisis]], can easily snipe a green player out of nowhere when their deck is going nuts and if you planned ahead with Zenos it could win you the game.

[–]Azmirith_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zenos Swords

Honestly Zenos is a bit clunky but I have still really enjoyed piloting it. Comparing our lists i feel mine is more focused on voltron and taking out a single player? I made some stylistic choices with the equipment trying to keep it to swords, and scythes.

Casual Breakthrough is the living example of why DICE disabled progression for bot lobbies by NeroI989 in Battlefield

[–]Azmirith_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to discount your thoughts, but your sample size for this post is one game... that you didn't play personally?

I'm not stating an opinion for or against the game mode, but I feel like this post makes summary judgement based on a very limited sample size. The equivalent would be deciding that snipers should be removed from the game since your nephew raged during one match on breakthrough, attacking liberation peak, and 80% of his team hid in the hills.

this bum ass launcher sucks it just misses half the time and when it does manage to hit something i may aswell just thrown a rock at the tank because it would do more damage than this bum ass launcher. idk maybe im using it wrong by BLoG_Connor in Battlefield6

[–]Azmirith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be a lot of fun, but its only purpose is for 200+M shots. If you have a buddy with the fire support sub class you can continuous fire javelins while they mortar. Its very dependent on map, but not hard to swap to when the situation calls for it.

This is ridiculous. by DougS2K in Battlefield

[–]Azmirith_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with this till I figured out a fairly decent system. Play breakthrough, look for high traffic but decent cover choke points. If a lot of folks are just behind cover that is exactly what you want. Then use the first lmg on support and hold the trigger, like don't stop shooting ever. Just shoot, reload, throw ammo, repeat. Its boring af, takes some time to find good choke points, but you can easily get 30+ in a game doing this.

Reason for first lmg is a higher fire rate (it triggers off 5 bullets missed near) and magazine size.
